Zero Escape Volume 3 announced for 3DS, PS Vita

Over the weekend, Aksys announced that they will be bringing over the follow-up to Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, Zero Escape Volume 3, to 3DS and PS Vita next summer. As with its predecessors, including series originator 999, players must make their way through a trap-filled labyrinth by solving puzzles alongside other prisoners. The visual novel-theme will return along with multiple endings, voiced cinematics, and dual voice-over support.

Tetris Ultimate: Challenge Pack launches for PS4, Xbox One

The Challenge Pack has gone live for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tetris Ultimate. The set consists of three new modes and is available as a $6.99 bundle or as individual downloads for $2.99. All three modes are playable in single and multiplayer, with Time’s Up challenging players to add extra time to a 30-second timer, Landslide increasing the number of blocks and their speed as player’s attain higher levels (with a random Tetriminos popping in every 10 turns), and Haunted turning the bottom Tetriminos invisible as players level.

GOG (PC) Toonstruck Launch Announcement - Screenshot 1 has added the surreal point-and-click adventure title Toonstruck to their library. The 1996 adventure title from Interplay follows cartoonist Drew Blanc as he attempts to escape a strange cartoon world populated by a wide variety of weird creatures—ah, the ‘90s. The game also features digitized actors, and a handful of notables are involved, including The Simpson’s Dan Castellaneta, Christopher Lloyd, and Tim Curry, also star of Interplay’s Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster.

Tetris Ultimate is making the leap from handheld to console today with its release for PS4 and Xbox One. The $9.99 download features six modes, including versus for up to four players. 3DS owners will note that this version features fewer modes, but it’s also $10 less than the digital version available on eShop and $20 less than the physical release. But for Tetris fans, take note: the handheld version has Challenge mode, which sports four variants. Each mode included in this version is detailed below.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be hitting the Nintendo eShop for 3DS on December 11, according to Capcom. The $29.99 set includes remastered versions of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice For All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations. Each title features 3D support, high-res re-drawn graphics, and remixed sound. Additionally, the Japanese version of Gyakuten Saiban 123 Naruhodo Selection, now with an option to switch between English and Japanese, is also part of the package.

Naiad sees Ubisoft’s stylish blade- and pistol-wielding assassins and raises them a suspiciously cute thief in Sneaky Sneaky. The new 2D stealth-based adventure title has launched on Steam, and at 10% off. As the thief, players must regain his glorious loot after he stumbled into an ambushed and was robbed shortly after pulling off a job. Fifteen different enemies are scattered around the lands, which can be bypassed by stealth. If combat is called for, the game switches from a real-time movement system to a turn-based combat system. The thief can also enhance his skills be leveling up. For those whose fingers are perpetually sticky, a batch of screenshots has been posted.

By the end of the sale, over 700 titles will have been discounted for up to 90% off through on-going sales, two daily bundles, and 40-minute flash deals.

Tetris Ultimate will launch for 3DS on November 11, according to Ubisoft. The new entry features support for up to four players with six modes in addition to a new solo Challenge mode. The modes, detailed below, include a four-player versus battle, a race to clear 40 lines, and an ultimate battle that features defensive and offensive power-ups. The game will be available in two formats and for two prices, with the physical version running $29.99 and the digital version $19.99.

Ms. Pac-Man is joining the fight against breast cancer with a new campaign. Bandai Namco has teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to launch the Ms. Pac-Man Pink Ribbon Campaign. From now until October 31, a variety of mobile versions of Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man, listed below, will feature an option to buy a new maze for $0.99, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The games’ art and interface will also sport a new ‘pink ribbon’ theme for all of October.

Hellraid: The Escape, the mobile puzzle-adventure title from Shortbreak Studios and Dead Island developer Techland, will launch for Android on October 2. The Android version will be available for $2.99, with no in-app purchases, for smartphones and tablets. In The Escape, a hint at what’s to come in 2015’s Hellraid for console and PC, players take on the role of an amnesiac who must escape a nightmarish prison. Using notes left by a previous inmate, they must navigate eight chambers filled with traps and puzzles. More puzzles will be released in the coming weeks.
