Bandai Namco is revisiting Sword Art Online later this year with two different releases. Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will launch on PSN for PS4 this summer, and Sword Art Online: Lost Song is slated to hit PSN and store shelves for PS4 and PS Vita this fall. Both titles will follow original stories based on the anime and manga. Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will include the original PS Vita version as well as all downloadable content (at a later date) and the ability to carry over some items from the PS Vita version for those who still have their save files. No word on whether the translation will be improved, though. Sword Art Online: Lost Song is the third game adaption and will feature an original storyline set within the follow-up VRMMORPG, ALfheim Online.
Last week, Bandai Namco announced that they will be bringing over Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment as a download-only release later this summer. Today, they’ve followed up the reveal with news that they will also be including an HD port of its PSP predecessor, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment. As with Hollow Fragment, Infinity Moment is an MMO-esque role-playing game that has players venturing around an expansive world, accepting quests, and battling creatures in real time.
Natsume has announced that they will be publishing Kemco’s handheld role-playing game End of Serenity. The game will be a download-only release for PSP and launch on PSN later this summer. Described as “a traditional Japanese RPG,” End of Serenity will sport a retro 16-bit look and follow the player’s investigation into the Underworld gang’s recent collection of strange objects called Atomigems. The game will have a heavy emphasis on customization, with over 120 assignable skills, and a combat system that includes the ability to summon giant beasts during battle.
Bust-a-Move 4 will be bringing its army of cute dinosaurs and piles of bright bubbles to PSN this spring, according to publisher Natsume. The colorful puzzler will feature 10 playable characters along with four unlockable characters, two new moves, and eight modes, including a Versus Mode and an Edit Mode that allows players to create up to 25 stages.
A new role-playing game has launched on PS Network for PSP. NIS America is continuing their support for the resilient handheld with Black Rock Shooter The Game. Featuring art from Huke and voice acting by Hatsune Miku, the post-apocalyptic adventure from Imageepoch follows the exploits of the battle android BRS as she assists the remaining handful of humans on an alien-infested Earth.
A new role-playing game from Imageepoch and NIS America is set to launch on PSN for PSP later this month. Black Rock Shooter The Game, set to be released on April 23, follows the battle android BRS in her battle against invading aliens. The game begins during the waning years of a 19-year-long war, when there are only 12 humans left on Earth for her to protect.
