Rise of the Tomb Raider will be making its way to PS4 this fall in Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. Scheduled to launch on October 11, alongside updates for PC and Xbox One, the set will include the original game, an additional story chapter titled Blood Ties, Endurance co-op mode, and all downloadable content. The drops add 35-plus Expedition Cards, 12 outfits, and seven weapons. Blood Ties, which will support PSVR, sees Lara back in Croft Manor as she tries to find proof of ownership to resolve a dispute with her uncle. Then, in Lara’s Nightmare, she must defend the manor … from zombies. Endurance challenges teams of two to surviving the elements by day and enemies by night for as long as possible, with results posted to a leaderboard. Classic Lara skins can also be found in new packs. PC and Xbox One Season Pass holders will receive all new content as part of the pass.

In keeping with the studio’s focus on the past, the game utilizes a combat system inspired by the classic Chrono Trigger.

Good news for everyone whose fighting juices are flowing from Evo 2016, Atlus is set to release a demo tomorrow for The King of Fighters XIV. The trial will offer local versus play and a limited roster of seven characters, including Kyo Kusanagi, Mai Shiranui, Iori Yagami, Sylvie Paula Paula, King of Dinosaurs, Shun’ei, and Nelson. As a bonus, it will also come with a free dynamic PS4 theme. To tide players over until the demo goes live, Atlus has released two new videos, a story trailer as well as a character trailer for billionaire villain Antonov.

The upcoming action-adventure title, inspired by 70’s era science fiction, finds mankind stuffed inside robotic bodies and controlled by a mad artificial intelligence. Virtual mankind, when will you heed the warnings of AM and Shodan? The hero of the day is the last living person. Well, the head of the last living person, who must use their special helmet to hover around and take control of the world’s numerous robots in order to defeat the tyrannical computer.

Rising Star Games has released Dracue Software’s PS4 version of Assault Suit Leynos on PSN. Older and/or retro gamers might know it better by its stateside title Target Earth, released in 1990 for the Sega Genesis. The updated version follows the original’s design closely, while also improving the visuals. The physical release is still in the works, and is now scheduled to launch this September. As a bonus, the boxed copy will come with a double-sided poster that features the art from the original 16-bit Japanese release.

Resident Evil 7 is off to a strong start. According to Capcom, the teaser demo, Beginning Hour, has hit a milestone as “the most downloaded single-player demo on PS4” after seven days online.
