Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X has launched digitally and physically for PS4 and PS Vita. Miku returns with her Vocaloid pals to sing their way through 30-plus songs set within five themed Clouds: Classic, Cool, Cute, Elegant, and Quirky. Along the way, the crew will unlock module costumes to outfit with stat-boosting accessories. Players can also put together concerts with everything they’ve unlocked, and dole out gifts to improve their friendships with the singers. Both versions also support cross-buy for downloadable content, all of which, and there’s quite a bit of it, have been posted below.

Assault Suit Leynos out digitally for PC, physically for PS4

Following its digital launch for PS4, Assault Suit Leynos is now available on store shelves for PS4 and through digital outlets for PC. There are also some extras. The boxed copy includes a poster* (incorrect, see update), while the PC version is available as a standalone version for $19.99 and as a Special Edition for $24.99. The special content, purchasable separately for $4.99, bundles the game’s soundtrack along with a 39-page excerpt from John Szcepaniak’s The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers that focuses on series creator Masaya/NCS.

Claymation point-and-click adventure Armikrog out for console

The crowdfunded point-and-click adventure title Armikrog has launched for console on eShop, Live, and PSN. The game, developed by members from the teams behind Earthworm Jim and Neverhood, is a claymation adventure that follows the astronaut Tommynaut and his talking blind dog, Beak-Beak. The duo must make their way to safety after they crash land on an alien planet and get stuck in the fortress Armikrog.

Capcom releases Resident Evil 7 biohazard gameplay trailer

Capcom broke out a new Resident Evil 7 biohazard trailer for Gamescom, titled “Lantern.” The gameplay footage introduces Marguerite Baker, one of the long-unseen residents of a plantation located in Dulvey, Louisiana. The video runs over three minutes long and is presented in the format of a found-footage film. Attendees can check out the Beginning Hour demo in PS VR mode at Sony’s booth in Hall 7, B-010.

Arcade-style strategy shooter Inversus launches for PC, PS4

Inversus, the latest action title from Hypersect designer and programmer Ryan Juckett, is now available on PSN, Humble Store, and Steam. The competitive arcade-style title mixes strategy with shooting, as players fire bullets to open and close paths in an attempt to block and trap their opponent. Up to four players are supported, locally or online, in one-versus-one and two-versus-two modes over 30-plus maps. PSN and Steam are both running a launch-week discount, knocking 10% off, with the former for PS Plus subscribers.

Atlus has announced an exhibition for The King of Fighters XIV. The upcoming Dream Match will feature Justin Wong, OGAWA, GO1, and sako, and is set to take place on August 19, beginning at 5:00 a.m. (CST), on the official SNK Twitch channel. A trailer for it has been released, as well as this week’s team reveal: Team Another World. The new squad includes Samurai Shodown’s Nakoruru, Kung Fu expert Mui Mui, and Love Heart, who is on a mission of vengeance against the Skull Pirates.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1, 2 out for PC, PS4, Thursday for Xbox One*

Activision has released action role-playing games Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 for console and PC. The digital-only releases debuted in 2006 and 2009 respectively, and are now available separately for $39.99 or as a bundle for $59.99. For PC and PS4, that is, Xbox One owners will need to wait until Thursday. As mentioned on Marvel.com, the re-releases feature improved performance, support for local and online co-op, and “some” interface as well as graphic enhancements. The inclusion of the downloadable character packs is up in the air.
