Atlus announces, details The Caligula Effect – Digital Deluxe Bundle

Atlus has revealed a Deluxe Bundle for their upcoming role-playing game The Caligula Effect. The $39.99 set comes with the game, co-developed by FuRyu and Aquria, along with several digital extras that include 19 avatars, a swimsuit costume pack, and a theme featuring myoo and other characters. As a group of students at Kishimai High School, players must battle a virtual idol and its Digihead minions to break free of a virtual reality world known as Mobius.

Dragon Quest Heroes II demo now live on PSN for PS4

Players can get an early start in restoring peace to the Seven Realms today with the release of a demo for Dragon Quest Heroes II. The trial allows players to try four of the 15 playable characters in unique quests that require them to defend Greena Pastures from an invading army of monsters and a giant boss. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone gets 3rd Encore Pack

The concert continues with the 3rd Encore Pack for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone. As with the previous encores, the latest adds more goodies, tunes, and Extra Extreme Charts for Future Sound and Colorful Tone. Included are 21 accessories, 18 modules, eight charts, and four songs. The tracks featured are Piano × Forte × Scandal by Oster project, Hibikase by Giga and Reol, Amatsu Kitsune by marasy, and 1925 by T-Pocket Manipulated and Ordinal P. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition on PSN for PS4

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition has been released for PS4. The title is a remake of a PS2 release, updated with improved visuals and trophy support. As a village newcomer, players must build and run a farm as well as establish a family and make friends. The release is a part of Natsume’s ongoing year-long celebration for the series’ 20th anniversary. The company is also releasing older entries as Classics on PSN, updating a site dedicated to the series, and taking part in a Throwback Thursday promotion on Instagram to show localization document and magazine scans.

The Caligula Effect launching May 2, new trailer, screens released

FuRyu and Aquria’s role-playing game The Caligula Effect will be hitting stores and online outlets on May 2, according to Atlus. Previously announced as Caligula, the game will retain its original audio track, and remain faithful to the storyline written by Persona and Persona 2 scribe Tadashi Satomi. The plot follows a group of students at Kishimai High School who realize that their world is a virtual reality known as Mobius. The virtual idol ‘myoo’ maintains the fantasy, and to get to safety, the Go-Home Club will have to strengthen their bonds as they fight those Digihead students who remain brainwashed.

Reclaim Earth for humanity in Nier: Automata, now available for PS4

Battle androids 2B, 9S and A2 are reporting in with the release of Nier: Automata for PS4. Co-developed with PlatinumGames, the latest entry finds androids battling machines that have overrun the planet in order to secure it for the remaining humans. A launch trailer, below, offers an overview, but for a lengthy look at the game, check out Exploring Earth’s Distant Future – 30 Minutes of Uninterrupted Gameplay. See nearly 30 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay from Nier: Automata

It’s never a bad time for more Nier, and today, Square Enix has released an extended look at the upcoming Nier: Automata. How “extended” is extended? Twenty-seven minutes and forty-nine seconds, that’s how extended. The video, titled Exploring Earth’s Distant Future – 30 Minutes of Uninterrupted Gameplay, offers an overview of the game’s mechanics and world. Some of the items featured include the Reliquary System, which allows players to return to where they were defeated for buffs or an ally; 17 of the Pod Skills that the robot companions can utilize during battle; how to gain new buffs and abilities using the Plug-in-Chip System; and the Riding System, which allows players to ride boars (of course).
