Spiders’ Jehanne Rousseau details upcoming RPG Mars War Logs
Spiders has released a new video explaining the ins and outs of their upcoming sci-fi-themed role-playing game Mars War Logs. The studio has been releasing media at a trickle, and save for a revamped website, has been pretty low key as to what all players can expect when the game launches this summer. The nearly three-minute video, narrated by Spiders CEO Jehanne Rousseau, covers a little bit of everything, including the game’s origins, story, mechanics, and emphasis on consequences.

Sacred Citadel launches for 360, PC, and PS3
Sacred Citadel, a new side-scrolling brawler set in the Sacred universe, is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. The primarily action-RPG series is branching out with this arcade-style beat ‘em up from Southend Interactive, which features fives characters—a mage, ranger, shaman, and warrior—battling it out using a combo-based combat system and leveling via RPG-style mechanics. Four-player multiplayer, complete with drop-in/drop-out co-op, is also supported in all versions.

Capcom Arcade Cabinet adds 1942, SonSon, more with Game Pack 5
A new Game Pack has launched for Capcom Arcade Cabinet, Pack #5. Included in the set is the shooter 1942, action-puzzler Pirate Ship Higemaru, and action-platformer SonSon, all from 1984. As a bonus, if gamers have the previous four packs and purchase the fifth, they will receive 1943 Kai and Vulgus for free.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse re-release announced
Sega will be resurrecting Mickey this summer with a new re-release of the classic platformer Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. Originally released for the Genesis in 1990, Castle of Illusion quickly became a must-play game, with its tight controls, colorful visuals, and solid level design. The upcoming download-only release is a re-imaging by Sega Studios Australia that’s being built from scratch using the original as its foundation.

Spiders Studio releases four new screens from Mars War Logs
Spiders Studio has released a handful of new screenshots from their upcoming cyberpunk role-playing game Mars War Logs. Slated to launch for 360, PC, and PS3 later this year, the screens reveal Devotion Chase, a trusted confidant of general Honour Grant, a leader in the ongoing civil war, and one of the many who is on the hunt for the game’s protagonist, Roy.

Sony details upcoming Spring Fever 2013 sale, highlights four indies
Sony has revealed the first round of information about the upcoming Spring Fever PlayStation Store promotion. This year’s sale will focus on four indie releases, which will be released throughout April: Guacamelee!, Dragon Fantasy Book I, Thomas Was Alone, and Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge. All of them will support Cross-Buy for the PS Vita, and PS Plus members can look forward to an additional launch-week discount.

Black Rock Shooter The Game launching this month on PSN for PSP
A new role-playing game from Imageepoch and NIS America is set to launch on PSN for PSP later this month. Black Rock Shooter The Game, set to be released on April 23, follows the battle android BRS in her battle against invading aliens. The game begins during the waning years of a 19-year-long war, when there are only 12 humans left on Earth for her to protect.

Terraria now available on Live Arcade and PSN
Re-Logic’s PC adventure-RPG Terraria is now available for 360 and PS3. The 505 Games-published port features random events, crafting, world-building elements, and AI characters who will move into player-created structures. The console adaptation includes new single-player content and new multiplayer modes that support up to four players online or locally via splitscreen.
