Get your emotions in check! The Caligula Effect out for 3DS

It’s time for players to break free of the virtual-world prison of Mobius with the launch of The Caligula Effect. As a student at Kishimai High School, players uncover a world that isn’t as it seems in a story penned by Persona 2 scribe Tadashi Satomi. As part of the Go-Home Club, they will join a group of fellow students in an effort to break free of the virtual world that has them trapped. Getting back to reality requires battling Digiheads, those students who have succumbed to the charms of the world’s master and are willing to defend her at all costs.

Dragon Quest Heroes II now in stores, online for PS4 and PC

Square Enix has released Dragon Quest Heroes II. The action role-playing game, developed by Koei Tecmo, follows up on but isn’t connected to the 2015 original. In the new adventure, players set out, alone or with friends in multiplayer, to save the Seven Realms. Along with online support, the sequel also features an interconnected single-player world, the ability to play as monsters, 15 playable characters, eight extra characters in multiplayer, more customization options, and Dimensional Dungeons as well as story-driven War Zones in multiplayer.

NIS releases patch for PS4 version of The Silver Case

A patch for The Silver Case has gone live on PSN that addresses an issue with two post-game scenarios. After installing the patch, players will be able to access Yami and White Out Prologue once they complete the game. Another problem with cinematics displaying black or fuzzy screens is being investigated, but the studio suggests a workaround that requires setting the system’s language to English or English UK. All applications in use must be closed before changing the language. More info on a fix should be coming along in the near future.

Disney Afternoon Collection brings 6 Capcom classics to console, PC

Capcom is going full-on 8-bit today with the release of The Disney Afternoon Collection. The six-title compilation bundles Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2, and TaleSpin. Each title has been updated with HD graphics along and supplemented by an in-game Museum filled with art and title history, a Rewind feature, and two modes, Boss Rush and Time Attack.

Atlus announces, details The Caligula Effect – Digital Deluxe Bundle

Atlus has revealed a Deluxe Bundle for their upcoming role-playing game The Caligula Effect. The $39.99 set comes with the game, co-developed by FuRyu and Aquria, along with several digital extras that include 19 avatars, a swimsuit costume pack, and a theme featuring myoo and other characters. As a group of students at Kishimai High School, players must battle a virtual idol and its Digihead minions to break free of a virtual reality world known as Mobius.

Dragon Quest Heroes II demo now live on PSN for PS4

Players can get an early start in restoring peace to the Seven Realms today with the release of a demo for Dragon Quest Heroes II. The trial allows players to try four of the 15 playable characters in unique quests that require them to defend Greena Pastures from an invading army of monsters and a giant boss. The concert continues with the 3rd Encore Pack for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone. As with the previous encores, the latest adds more goodies, tunes, and Extra Extreme Charts for Future Sound and Colorful Tone. Included are 21 accessories, 18 modules, eight charts, and four songs. The tracks featured are Piano × Forte × Scandal by Oster project, Hibikase by Giga and Reol, Amatsu Kitsune by marasy, and 1925 by T-Pocket Manipulated and Ordinal P. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition on PSN for PS4

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition has been released for PS4. The title is a remake of a PS2 release, updated with improved visuals and trophy support. As a village newcomer, players must build and run a farm as well as establish a family and make friends. The release is a part of Natsume’s ongoing year-long celebration for the series’ 20th anniversary. The company is also releasing older entries as Classics on PSN, updating a site dedicated to the series, and taking part in a Throwback Thursday promotion on Instagram to show localization document and magazine scans.
