The King of Fighters XIV is now available for digital pre-order on PSN. Players who get in early will receive a dynamic PS4 theme as well as two costumes, Nightmare Geese and Classic Kyo. In an explosion of marketing synergy, a new trailer has gone live for Nightmare Geese, which is available alongside a few shots of the theme. And of course, here’s a handy list to check out all the current team reveals: Team Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Kim, Villains, Official Invitation, South America, and Mexico.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent has gone live for PS4. A new batch of screenshots has also been released alongside the drop. Treyarch’s latest features four new multiplayer maps, including a remake of Black Ops II’s Raid, and the next entry in the Zombies’ Origins series, Gorod Krovi. Descent will be available for PC and Xbox One at a later date.

Digital version of Assault Suit Leynos launches for PS4

Rising Star Games has released Dracue Software’s PS4 version of Assault Suit Leynos on PSN. Older and/or retro gamers might know it better by its stateside title Target Earth, released in 1990 for the Sega Genesis. The updated version follows the original’s design closely, while also improving the visuals. The physical release is still in the works, and is now scheduled to launch this September. As a bonus, the boxed copy will come with a double-sided poster that features the art from the original 16-bit Japanese release.

Lumo now available on PSN for PS Vita

The isometric action-platformer Lumo has launched for PS Vita. The Triple Eh? Ltd.-developed adventure is designed to be similar to the platformers from the 1980s and early 1990s, with players tasked with navigating over 400 puzzle-filled rooms set throughout four zones. The game also features cross-buy support and cross-save functionality with the PS4 version.

Resident Evil 7 is off to a strong start. According to Capcom, the teaser demo, Beginning Hour, has hit a milestone as “the most downloaded single-player demo on PS4” after seven days online. Even more impressive is that access is limited due to being restricted to PS Plus subscribers, but even then, it’s had over 2 million downloads globally.

Balrog, Ibuki, and Story Mode launching tomorrow for Street Fighter V

Capcom has detailed tomorrow’s big update for Street Fighter V. The patch will add the new five-act cinematic story mode, A Shadow Falls, and two new characters, returning brawlers Balrog and Ibuki. The former will be free for everyone, while the latter will require purchase with earned Fight Money or cash. A Shadow Falls takes place between Street Fighter IV and III, with the 16 core characters battling it out as a World Warrior or a member of Shadaloo. Six released and unreleased post-launch downloadable characters are also going to take part. In addition to Balrog and Ibuki, both detailed below, the update will feature their stages, Las Vegas and Karin’s Kanzuki Family Private Beach. General tweaks include “faster and smarter matching” for multiplayer and Currency Shop options to use real money through PS Store and Steam.

God Eater Resurrection has launched on PSN for PS4 and PS Vita. As a God Eater, players wield God Arc weapons to take down giant monsters as the latest recruit to Fenrir Organization’s Far East Branch. He’s a New Type God Eater with the ability to handle weapons that can transform between blade and gun forms. From the organization’s home base, players set out to clear the land of the evil Aragami who are immune to normal weapons but weak to the Oracle Cells within God Arc weapons. The cells allow players to devour the essence of each monster. Players can tackle the game solo or with up to three friends online.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s third downloadable pack, Descent, got its first trailer today. The add-on, debuting on PSN on July 12, features four multiplayer maps as well as the next installment in Zombies. The maps, detailed below, include Empire, a reimagined versions of Black Ops II’s Raid; Berserk, a Viking village; Rumble, set in an arena where giant robots battle; and Cryogen, a prison filled with cryogenic tubes. The new Zombies entry, Gorod Krovi, sees the Origins gang in an alternate USSR where the remains of Stalingrad are dominated by mechanized zombies.

NIS has begun the struggle for Resonail with the digital release of Grand Kingdom. As a mercenary captain, players will lead a squad of soldiers as they navigate four factions that are battling for control of the realm. Collectors take note that the physical edition will launch on June 28.
