Space Hulk: Deathwing trailer showcases 13 minutes of gameplay

Space Hulk: Deathwing recently wrapped up its technical beta, allowing tens of thousands of players to try their hands at the game’s co-op mode, but its release is still a week away. Arkane releases eight minutes of gameplay from Prey

A new gameplay walkthrough has been released for Prey. Arkane Studio’s upcoming first-person shooter, set to be released next year, finds players waking up in Talos I, a ransacked space station that’s been overrun by aliens. The sequel will offer a more open-ended approach to tackling levels, and creative director Raphael Colantonio and lead designer Ricardo Bare detail those sorts of possibilities in the video.

Final Fantasy XV sells digitally, ships to retail 5-million-plus units

Square Enix has sent the celebratory word that Final Fantasy XV has shipped physically and sold digitally over five million units globally. The release marks the first time that a Final Fantasy has been released simultaneously around the world. The studio also noted that they they “will continue to work on projects to expand and enhance customer enjoyment of Final Fantasy XV, releasing additional content and associated series products.”

Gameplay trailer released for Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif

Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif received a new trailer today. The video runs a little over a minute long and features ground- and space-based combat, as rebels fend off an invasion force. The add-on will feature battles inspired by the upcoming film, along with two new playable heroes: Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic. Four new maps are also being added that will introduce the jungles and beaches of Scarif. Along with the maps, a new multi-stage game mode is being debuted that mixes space and ground combat.

Danganronpa 1•2 Reload dated, to be released next March

NIS has revealed that Danganronpa 1&2 Reload will be available on March 14. The PS4 collection bundles both of the PS Vita visual novels Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The official site has also gone live.

King Art’s tactical-RPG The Dwarves out for console, PC

THQ Nordic has released King Art’s latest strategy title The Dwarves for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Based on Markus Heitz’s first novel, aptly titled The Dwarves, players take on the role of Tungdil as he leads a party on a mission to save the realm of Girdlegard from evil. The game is said to offer “massive-scale, tactical battles in real-time and a brand new, physics-based ‘crowd combat system’,” with the latter highlighting the scale of combat when the heroes battle hundreds of smaller enemies. King Art funded the game via Kickstarter last year.

Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare joining PS Now next week

God Wars Future Past official site updated, story trailer released

NIS has released a story trailer for their upcoming tactical role-playing game God Wars Future Past. The official site has also been updated with information about the battle system and a handful of the characters. The game follows the origins of Japan as told through folklore, with Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga battling for control of the country, known as Mizuho. As the recently imprisoned Princess Kaguya, players must learn the truth about their past, along the way gaining access to 14 customizable characters, over 30 classes, and 400-plus skills.

Final Fantasy XV launches in store, online for PS4 and Xbox One

Square Enix has released the long-awaited fifteenth entry in the mainline Final Fantasy series today. The delayed release is being described as the “next evolution of the world renowned video game series, featuring visceral action-packed battles, a fantasy world based in reality, and colossal wonders to behold.” Players take on the role of Crown Prince Noctis, as he and his friends go on a quest within the lands of Eos to discover his destiny amidst an ongoing war with the Niflheim empire. Styx explores Korrangar in new Styx: Shards of Darkness screens

Cyanide Studios has released some new screenshots from Styx: Shards of Darkness. The sequel to Master of Shadows, launching early 2017, once again finds Styx on a mission to acquire more Amber by doing what he does best: stealing. This time, it’s an ambassador’s scepter. The four screens showcase the Port of Korrangar, a heavily guarded waystation for airships. The sequel will feature a crafting system for traps and devices, a teleport ability, and an emphasis on non-linear play with an open-ended approach to tackling objectives.
