The Deep End Games’ latest thriller, Perception, has been released for console, courtesy of Feardemic. Cast as the role of Cassie, players set out to explore an abandoned mansion in an effort to prove that they can handle themselves in the world. Unlike other adventurers, Cassie is blind, so she will have to rely on her cane and echolocation to get around the estate. Sounds create visuals that tell the story behind the mansion, but as these things go in games, they also draw a malevolent force. The being forces her to shift from testing herself to attempting to solve the house’s mysteries before it’s too late.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to launch online for PC, PS4 on August 8

Ninja Theory has revealed that they will be releasing their latest action title Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on August 8. The studio is positioning it as something of a AAA-lite title, clocking in at about half the time of most games but being priced accordingly at around half off the going rate, $29.99. The story follows Senua, a Celtic warrior who must make her way through the Viking underworld. The studio worked with “neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis” in order to more accurately convey a journey through Senua’s mind. Pre-order bonuses were also announced, with PS4 players receiving a dynamic theme featuring the game’s burning-tree scene, while PC players receive a digital comic short titled Hellblade: Senua’s Song from Valiant Entertainment.

Right 6 on exit! Up! Dirt 4 now available for console and PC

It’s time for rally fans to hit the track again with the release of Dirt 4. The PC and console racer is attempting to broaden its base with two handling modes, Gamer and Simulation. I’d go for the former. No shame in admitting that. Additional assistance can be found in an in-game Academy that teaches players the finer points of the system’s mechanics. Dirt 4 also features Your Stage, which is said to “produce a near infinite number of unique rally stages at the touch of a button.”
