To a few (dignified) squeals from the staff, Square Enix announced that Nier is returning for PS4. The working title is Nier New Project, and as with the previous titles in the universe, including the Drakengard series, the game will be an action-heavy role-playing game. Only this time, PlatinumGames will be assisting by “amplifying the action-oriented combat and building a beautifully diverse visual experience that will fully harness the graphical power of the PlayStation 4 system.”

Dark Souls III announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Bandai Namco has officially revealed FromSoftware’s next title, Dark Souls III. The “dark and brooding fantasy adventure” is scheduled to launch in early 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Not much else was revealed about the upcoming journey, other than it will be similar to the previous games, with players traveling throughout an interconnected world, avoiding traps, searching out secrets, and battlings monsters and beasts. Though there is a bit of a twist this time around, as players are trying to avoid a looming apocalypse.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer trailer released

A new trailer revealing Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s multiplayer has been released by Activision and Treyarch. The video demonstrates how the new movement system works in conjunction with levels designed from the outset to allow for maneuvers to be chained together during combat. Players also get a glimpse at the nine Specialists, who have their own abilities and progression system, as well as the new weapon-customization options.

Street Fighter V adds Birdie and Cammy, PS4 beta to begin July 23

Capcom revealed two more additions to Street Fighter V’s roster: Birdie and Cammy. Cammy has been a staple of the series for several years now, but Birdie hasn’t been seen rushing around and headbutting since Street Fighter Alpha 3. The two join four previously announced fighters, Charlie Nash, Chun-Li, M. Bison, and Ryu. A new trailer and batch of screenshots were released showing the two in action. The beta was also dated, with PS4 pre-orders getting a chance to try the game online from July 23 to July 28.

PC and PS4 versions of Tales of Zestiria to launch alongside PS3

The Tales series will be expanding its reach into new territories when Tales of Zestiria is released later this year. Ahead of E3, Bandai Namco has sent word that the previously announced PS3 version will be released alongside two others, one for PC and the other for PS4. In Zestiria, players take control of Sorey, a young adventurer ordained to become The Shepard, who must save the land from becoming corrupt by stopping an evil force called Malevolence. New combat mechanics are also being introduced with the new cast, including side dashes and a fusing ability that allows for the creation new elemental artes.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Supremacy to hit PSN, Steam in July

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s third download pack, Supremacy, will go live on PSN and Steam on July 2. The set includes four maps, each of which has been designed to take advantage of the Exo Grapple mechanic, and one being a revamped Highrise from Modern Warfare 2. The pack also features the next entry in the Exo Zombies storyline, an entry that just so happens to introduce one Bruce Campbell. Additional details can be found below.

Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition announced for PS4, Xbox One

Nordic is bringing death back. Darksiders 2 will be returning for the new console generation as an updated bundle rerelease, Deathinitive Edition. In addition to upgraded graphics, the set will include all downloadable content: Argul’s Tomb, Fletcher’s Crow Hammer, Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Mace Maximus, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov’s Axe, and Van Der Schmash Hammer. The added content is said to push playtime to over 30 hours. The port is being handled by Gunfire Games, “where nearly all staffers have already been working at Vigil Games and on Darksiders in the past.” For those wanting a new adventure, fear not, Nordic has a new Darksiders in the works.

Adr1ft trailer teases at what awaits Commander Oshima

505 Games has released a new trailer for Three One Zero’s upcoming adventure title Adr1ft. The trailer, created in conjunction with Blur Studio, gives a quick look at Commander Alex Oshima as she dodges debris that used to be a part of her former habitat, Hardiman Aerospace Northstar IV. Players will need to help Oshima as she struggles to survive and make it back to Earth after a recent disaster leaves her alone and adrift in space.

Tetris Ultimate: Challenge Pack launches for PS4, Xbox One

The Challenge Pack has gone live for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tetris Ultimate. The set consists of three new modes and is available as a $6.99 bundle or as individual downloads for $2.99. All three modes are playable in single and multiplayer, with Time’s Up challenging players to add extra time to a 30-second timer, Landslide increasing the number of blocks and their speed as player’s attain higher levels (with a random Tetriminos popping in every 10 turns), and Haunted turning the bottom Tetriminos invisible as players level.
