A new combo video has been released to showcase more of the fighters in Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. The crossover fighter from Ecole and French Bread features a packed roster of characters from across the Dengeki Bunko imprint. The latest footage highlights Kirino Kousaka (Oreimo), Mikoto Misaka (A Certain Magical Index), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), and Kirito (Sword Art Online).

Activision to boost eSports presence with Call of Duty World League

Activision has created a global eSports league for Call of Duty, the aptly named Call of Duty World League. The program is being set up to encourage casual fans to try their hand at competitive play and “provide a deeper level of engagement” for current professionals. The league will consist of two divisions, The Pro Division and The Challenge Division, with the latter providing an avenue for amateurs to win a spot at the Call of Duty Championship. Activision is ponying up $3 million in prizes and has set up a team to help facilitate the league leading up to and after its launch alongside Black Ops III. Full details can be found below.

Persona 5 delayed until 2016

Atlus has announced that Persona 5 will not be making its initial release date. Originally scheduled for a 2015 launch, the game will now be released in 2016. Atlus notes that they are “delaying the game in order to make sure the next iteration of the Persona series lives up to the expectations of fans.” On a positive note, the Tokyo Game Show trailer was released on the game’s official Japanese Youtube channel. Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, DLC now available

Destiny: The Taken King is now available online and in stores. The expansion introduces a new enemy, King Oryx, who has unleashed his soldiers in revenge for the death of his son Crota. In addition to the quest to defeat Oryx, The Taken King adds three new Guardian subclasses, Strikes, and Crucible maps, along with the new King’s Fall Raid and new armor and weapons. King’s Fall will go live at noon (CST) on Friday, September 18. New players can opt to grab Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which also includes the first two expansions, The Dark Below and House of Wolves, for $59.99. For current players, The Taken Ling can be purchased by itself for $39.99. A one-time character boost, Spark of Light, will be included with both in order to get players up to level 25 so that they can take part in the new content.

The Arland Atelier Trilogy announced, launching October 13 for PS3

NIS has announced that they will be releasing a three pack of the crafting-centric role-playing series Atelier, The Arland Atelier Trilogy. The set will be a physical-only, single-disc release for PS3 and include Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland. This is the second trilogy pack announced from NIS, with the first, The Disgaea Triple Play Collection, hitting store shelves next week.

A new live-action launch trailer has been posted for Destiny: The Taken King. The trailer, titled Evil’s Most Wanted, follows a Guardian Fireteam alongside their Ghost companion as they set out to take down the game’s new enemy, King Oryx. All set to Led Zeppelin, of course.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Reckoning is now available for PC, PS3, and PS4. The final download includes four new maps (Fracture, Overload, Quarantine, and Swarm), an Exo Grapple playlist, and the Exo Zombies finale, Descent. Descent adds a new ocean-based Atlas setting, a ‘fused’ enemy type, and the Trident Reflected Energy weapon. Map details can be found below.

QuakeCon will be returning to the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Bethesda has announced that the four-day event will take place Thursday, August 4 through Sunday, August 7, 2016. General attendance will once again be free, but as in years past, special for-pay packages will be offered for reserved seating at events, shorter waits, and bags of items.

Activision has released a new character trailer, an interview with Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen, and pre-order bonus details for Transformers: Devastation. The PlatinumGames-developed title will come with free downloadable content for all those who pre-order, a character skin pack and a weapon pack. The skin pack will come with three alternate costumes (Nemesis Prime, Red Alert, and Goldfire), while the weapon pack will bundle together the Dark Star Saber, the Photon Disruptor, and the twin Gold Hunter blaster pistols. RE0, RE1 getting physical release in Resident Evil Origins Collection

Resident Evil Origins Collection will bring the recently released Resident Evil HD and an upgraded Resident Evil 0 to store shelves next year. Scheduled to launch on January 19, the $39.99 set will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, while Resident Evil 0 will be sold separately digitally around the same time for $19.99 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Capcom also revealed Wesker Mode for Resident Evil 0, which will feature fellow S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers, with Wesker taking on the role of Bill Coen with a new look and new abilities. Twenty screenshots as well as two trailers have also gone live, one introducing the package and the other detailing Wesker Mode.
