Aksys Games has announced that their upcoming PS3 fighter Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late will be hitting retail and online outlets on February 24. The co-developed French Bread and Arc System Works brawler will feature 16 characters and six game modes: Arcade, Score Attack, Time Attack, Training, Survival, and Network for online multiplayer.

Far Cry 4 gets eight-minute-long 101 Launch Trailer

A new trailer has been released for Far Cry 4, the 101 Launch Trailer. The video is over eight minutes long and features the protagonist’s backstory as well as info on the area’s factions, weapons, locales, quests, multiplayer, weapons and crafting. It’s a pretty thorough walkthrough, and made up largely of gameplay footage. The fourth entry sets players loose in the Himalayas in the midst of a civil war to overthrow the dictator Pagan Min. Drop-in/drop-out co-op play is also supported.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Assassin’s Creed Unity now available

In addition to the current-gen Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Ubisoft has also announced the release of the PC- and next-gen-only Assassin’s Creed Unity. ‘Generation’ is hard to define at the moment, so bear with us. Rogue’s launch trailer was posted yesterday. Unlike Rogue, which follows a Templar during the Seven Years’ War, Unity is set during the French Revolution and follows Arno, a man who turns to the brotherhood after the loss of a loved one. Players will be able to traverse an open-world Paris, taking down targets as they gain new skills, customize weapons, and earn new gear. Unity also includes four-player co-op missions that reward special co-op gear, and players will get to utilize unique co-op skills based around agility, force, or stealth.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue on sale tomorrow, launch trailer released

Ubisoft has released a launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Scheduled to hit store shelves and download outlets tomorrow, Rogue follows Assassin turned Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. The new Templar is on a quest to take down his former brothers in the midst of the Seven Years’ War. Players will once again be able to take to the seas as well as explore new locations throughout North America, including the Appalachian River Valley and New York.

BioWare to livestream Dragon Age Inquisition multiplayer tomorrow

BioWare has announced that they are prepping to stream a demonstration of Dragon Age Inquisition’s multiplayer component tomorrow on their Twitch channel. The stream will take place from noon to 3:00 p.m. (CST). The developers will be running through three multiplayer maps as they show off three unlocked starter characters, the Archer, the Keeper, and the Legionnaire. In addition to providing general tips and details on crafting, ability trees, and teamwork, producer Scylla Costa and associate producer Billy Buskell will also be on hand to answer questions from viewers.

Grand Theft Auto V graphics video compares PS3 and PS4 versions

Rockstar has followed up their announcement about the upcoming first-person mode in the new versions of Grand Theft Auto V with a trailer demonstrating the graphical improvements that players can expect. Specifically, the video covers the differences between the PS3 and PS4 versions, showcasing a variety of locales, vehicles, and characters during its nearly minute and a half running time. In addition to a higher resolution, the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions will also sport double the drawing distance and upgraded textures.

Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack coming out on vinyl, CD in December

Rockstar has announced that they have teamed up with Mass Appeal Records to release Grand Theft Auto V’s soundtrack on CD and vinyl. Only 5,000 copies will be produced, and both formats are scheduled to go on sale on December 9. The set will include 59 tracks featuring original music from Flying Lotus, Yeasayer, Twin Shadow, and more, along with the original score from Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist + Oh No, and DJ Shadow. The set will come on six vinyl records, which will be packed with a color booklet and lithograph poster in a box set, and three discs, which will come in special packaging also housing artwork and a gold brick-shaped USB drive.

Activision has detailed the Day Zero Edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This version is slated to go live online and hit store shelves on November 3, ahead of the traditional Tuesday launch, and will come with several bonuses. The entire day will offer double experience during online play, and players will have access to two custom weapons (AK-12G Assault Rifle and Crossbow-B2) and the Advanced Arsenal, which includes a Bullet Brass Exoskeleton and EM1 Quantum Directed Energy Weapon. Gamers who go the digital route will receive the same bonuses, and those who buy the PS3 or Xbox 360 version will be eligible for a free digital upgrade to a PS4 or Xbox One version. The only restrictions on the digital upgrade are that it must be within the same console family and purchased prior to March 31.

Techland cancels PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Dyling Light
