Atlus has released a new trailer highlighting the traitors in the player’s midst in Lost Dimension. During each game, players must discover who of the squad are traitors, or risk having to face them during the last battle. Choosing the wrong character not only leaves one more traitor to face but also one less ally to call upon during the final encounter. Players need to delve deep into their squadmates’ minds in order to find out if they’re loyal or ready to turn.

Sega is laying the groundwork for the return of Yakuza with the first of a three-part video series, Welcome to the World of Yakuza 5. The nearly six-minute-long video features Sony’s Director of Third Party Production and Developer Relations Gio Corsi interviewing Yakuza 5’s General Director Toshihiro Nagoshi and Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama. Topics covered include what the duo value most as creators, the storyline, and the inspiration behind the series.

Suikoden III now available as a PS2 Classic on PSN for PS3

Following their release of Suikoden II late last year, Konami has added Suikoden III to PSN as part of the PS2 Classic line. The third entry takes place within the Grasslands around 16 years after its predecessor, during an uneasy peace between the six clans that rule the area and the eastern nation of Harmonia. While some things have been carried over from the first two titles, such as the recruitable 108 Stars of Destiny that are scattered throughout the lands, others have changed quite a bit, namely that the story is now told through three different characters. Each character represents a different side, allowing players to see events from the perspective of a Grasslander as Karaya clan member Hugo, Harmonian as border guard Geddoe, and Zexen as knight Chris Lightfellow.

Trailer, eight-minute video released for Destiny: The Taken King

Activision has a new trailer as well as a video breakdown for Destiny: The Taken King. Originally shown at Sony’s E3 press conference, the trailer offers the first glimpse at the upcoming add-on, while an eight-minute-long ‘vidoc’ provides a deeper look at what Bungie has in store. The expansion will add new subclasses along with new strikes, gear, and enemies. The latest threat is Oryx, the powerful Taken King who commands an army of corrupted taken that must be confronted in a new campaign.

Activision and PlatinumGames team up for Transformers: Devastation

PlatinumGames is a busy studio these days. Not only are they assisting with the upcoming sequel to Nier, but they are also working on a new Transformers title for Activision, Transformers: Devastation. The third-person action title will sport cel-shaded graphics along with a storyline inspired by the IDW comic book universe and some notable voice actors, including Frank Welker (Megatron, Soundwave) and Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime). Combat will be fast and combo heavy, as with other titles from PlatinumGames, and supplemented by upgrades and new weapons. The playable roster will include five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock. Devastation is slated for release later this year.

A new trailer revealing Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s multiplayer has been released by Activision and Treyarch. The video demonstrates how the new movement system works in conjunction with levels designed from the outset to allow for maneuvers to be chained together during combat. Players also get a glimpse at the nine Specialists, who have their own abilities and progression system, as well as the new weapon-customization options.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Supremacy to hit PSN, Steam in July

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s third download pack, Supremacy, will go live on PSN and Steam on July 2. The set includes four maps, each of which has been designed to take advantage of the Exo Grapple mechanic, and one being a revamped Highrise from Modern Warfare 2. The pack also features the next entry in the Exo Zombies storyline, an entry that just so happens to introduce one Bruce Campbell. Additional details can be found below.

PlayStation Now accessible on select Samsung Smart TVs

Select Samsung Smart TVs can now stream PlayStation 3 titles using PlayStation Now. The subscription- and rental-based service allows owners of supported models the chance to stream PlayStation 3 titles without a system by utilizing the PS Now app through Samsung’s Smart Hub. The app includes all of the traditional features, so games operate as if they are being played on a system, such as Trophies, multiplayer, and cloud-based saving. Games are played using DualShock 4 controllers, which are synced after the app is started.

Atlus adding $10,000 to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Evo 2015 prize pool

Atlus is sweetening the Evo pot for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The studio announced today that they are adding a $10,000 price pool for finals. For those looking to enter, Atlus noted that the competition will be using the current version of the PS3 console. Another Persona will also be at the tournament, the rhythm-based spin-off Persona 4: Dancing All Night, along with competitive Catherine and stations for practicing Ultimax.

Mighty No. 9 Collector’s Edition detailed, new trailer, screens released

Deep Silver has announced that they are expanding their Mighty No. 9 offerings with a Collector’s Edition. The $59.99 set will come with a Launch Edition of the game, special packaging with a foil signature from Keji Inafune, and an individually numbered statue of Beck that stands 6.5 inches tall and sports 14 points of articulation along with three interchangeable faceplates. Both the Limited and Collector’s editions will come with Retro Hero DLC, which will revert the graphics to an older style and add a one-hit difficulty mode. It was also announced that the game will also support cross-buy across all physical and digital versions of PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. And to top off the reveals, a new 60fps trailer, Beat Them at Their Own Game, has also been posted.
