An avalanche of King of Fighters XIV goodies hit today. First up, Atlus has announced that the game is slated to launch on August 23, and that players who pre-order or buy the game near its release date will receive the Day One edition. This version will come in a themed SteelBook case featuring Kyo Kusanagi, and as a gift for all early buyers, the Classic Kyo DLC costume will be free on PSN for the week following launch. Additionally, there are two new videos and over 20 new screenshots, plus a picture of the Day One edition, posted below. The trailers highlight the three-versus-three system, story, and one of the new characters, Shun’Ei.

The Eldar joining Battlefleet Gothic: Armada multiplayer beta

Next week, the Eldar will be accessible in the ongoing multiplayer beta for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. The high-tech Eldar man a powerful, fast, and maneuverable fleet that are designed for hit-and-run attacks. Their speed comes at a cost, however, as their ships lack heavy armor and most lack a shield. To get beta players up to speed on their release, a new trailer has gone live showing the Eldar in action.

Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- pre-order demo now available for PS4

Players who pre-order Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- on PSN for PS4 can now access a playable demo. The demo features Arcade Mode, Training Mode, and Versus mode in their entirety, plus all three new characters. Free downloadable content is also in the works and will be available from June 7 through June 21 for PS3 and PS4. Players will be able to download two new characters, Raven and Kum Haehyun, and the Eclipse Color pack. Additionally, the studio has also launched Aksys Academy to help newcomers learn the ropes. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada beta launches, overview trailer up

A new trailer has gone live for Tindalos Interactive’s upcoming Warhammer 40K-themed real-time strategy title Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. The latest video—aptly titled Overview Trailer—covers a little of everything, from the factions to skills, abilities, objectives, and combat. Pre-orders also get access to the beta today, which allows them to build an Imperium or Chaos fleet and play through the campaign prologue or battle against other players or the AI in one-versus-one skirmishes. Early adopters will also receive the Space Marine faction for free when they are added shortly after launch.

Doom multiplayer footage released, closed beta dated

A new gameplay trailer has gone live for Doom. The latest footage is from the multiplayer component, which will be entering closed beta shortly. The closed beta is scheduled to run from March 31 to April 1 for all platforms. Day of the Tentacle Remastered up for pre-order, launching March 22

Double Fine has announced that Day of the Tentacle Remastered will be released for PC, PS4, and PS Vita on March 22. The updated re-release of the 1993 point-and-click adventure is also up for pre-order. To get the ball rolling, all versions are currently available for 10% off. The PSN release is cross-buy and comes with the additional bonus of a PS4 theme. The PC version is on sale at, and it comes bundled with wallpapers.

Dark Souls III pre-order extras, Dark Souls 360 BC announced

Bandai Namco is offering several pre-order goodies for Dark Souls III. The Xbox One version comes with a code to download Dark Souls for Xbox 360, which will later be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. The code can be redeemed here and will be delivered in 7 to 10 days. The PlayStation 4 version comes with a digital version of the game’s soundtrack, which is scheduled to be available on April 12, and an exclusive system theme. The PC release is accessible through Steam and also comes with a digital version of the soundtrack, plus a discount of $5 for owners of Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. A $84.99 digital deluxe version comes with a season pass as well as another theme for PS4.

Sega has announced a retro-themed pre-order bonus for Sega 3D Classics Collection. Early buyers will receive a nine-sticker decal sheet when they pick up the compilation. The set of silver-hued stickers will include a Master System logo and console, a Mega Drive logo, a Genesis logo and console, a 16-Bit logo, a GigaDrive logo, a Professor Asobin, and of course, a Sega logo.



Doom to be released in May, new trailer, collector’s edition reveled

Bethesda has announced that Doom will be launching on May 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In addition, the game will be released as a standard as well as a collector’s edition. Both of which will be eligible for a pre-order bonus, the Demon Multiplayer downloadable pack. A new gameplay trailer has gone live to celebrate the news.

Yakuza 0 coming to North America, Yakuza 5 launching next week

During Sony’s PlayStation Experience livestream, Atlus revealed two bits of Yakuza-related news: the first is that the studio will be bringing Yakuza 0 stateside both physically and digitally for PS4, and secondly, Yakuza 5’s will be released on December 8. Yakuza 0 will take players back to December 1988 as they take a young Kazuma Kiryu through the streets of Tokyo in a bid to regain his honor. He must fight to restore his name after a simple debt collection ends in murder. Another story will see players control Goro Majima, the Mad Dog of Shimano, as he attempts to rejoin his clan. Combat styles will be switchable on the fly, and players will be able to earn cash from Telephone Clubs, Pocket Circuit car races, and Disco Halls.
