Dark Souls III pre-order extras, Dark Souls 360 BC announced

Bandai Namco is offering several pre-order goodies for Dark Souls III. The Xbox One version comes with a code to download Dark Souls for Xbox 360, which will later be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. The code can be redeemed here and will be delivered in 7 to 10 days. The PlayStation 4 version comes with a digital version of the game’s soundtrack, which is scheduled to be available on April 12, and an exclusive system theme. The PC release is accessible through Steam and also comes with a digital version of the soundtrack, plus a discount of $5 for owners of Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. A $84.99 digital deluxe version comes with a season pass as well as another theme for PS4.

Sega 3D Classics Collection gets pre-order, early run bonus

Sega has announced a retro-themed pre-order bonus for Sega 3D Classics Collection. Early buyers will receive a nine-sticker decal sheet when they pick up the compilation. The set of silver-hued stickers will include a Master System logo and console, a Mega Drive logo, a Genesis logo and console, a 16-Bit logo, a GigaDrive logo, a Professor Asobin, and of course, a Sega logo.



Doom to be released in May, new trailer, collector’s edition reveled

Bethesda has announced that Doom will be launching on May 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In addition, the game will be released as a standard as well as a collector’s edition. Both of which will be eligible for a pre-order bonus, the Demon Multiplayer downloadable pack. A new gameplay trailer has gone live to celebrate the news.

Yakuza 0 coming to North America, Yakuza 5 launching next week

During Sony’s PlayStation Experience livestream, Atlus revealed two bits of Yakuza-related news: the first is that the studio will be bringing Yakuza 0 stateside both physically and digitally for PS4, and secondly, Yakuza 5’s will be released on December 8. Yakuza 0 will take players back to December 1988 as they take a young Kazuma Kiryu through the streets of Tokyo in a bid to regain his honor. He must fight to restore his name after a simple debt collection ends in murder. Another story will see players control Goro Majima, the Mad Dog of Shimano, as he attempts to rejoin his clan. Combat styles will be switchable on the fly, and players will be able to earn cash from Telephone Clubs, Pocket Circuit car races, and Disco Halls.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided pre-order program revamped, tiers dropped

Square Enix has revamped the pre-order program for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. After receiving negative feedback from the community about the former tier-based model, which added items as pre-order milestones were met, the studio has decided to go with an all-in-one plan: “all of the associated content with the program will now be made available for free to anyone who pre-orders or purchases a Day 1 edition.” One particularly contentious bonus was the ability to play the game early. This has also been changed, and now, everyone will be able to access the game on February 23.

Transformers: Devastation pre-order detailed, Peter Cullen video up

Activision has released a new character trailer, an interview with Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen, and pre-order bonus details for Transformers: Devastation. The PlatinumGames-developed title will come with free downloadable content for all those who pre-order, a character skin pack and a weapon pack. The skin pack will come with three alternate costumes (Nemesis Prime, Red Alert, and Goldfire), while the weapon pack will bundle together the Dark Star Saber, the Photon Disruptor, and the twin Gold Hunter blaster pistols. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided dated, tiered pre-order program revealed

Square Enix has revealed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on February 23 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A pre-order promotion was also detailed, titled Augment Your Pre-Order. Similar to the approach taken with Drakengard 3, items are added as tier goals are met through pre-order sales. In this case, the extras will be available in the Day One Edition. Early buyers will not only be able to select which items they want from unlocked tiers, but they will also be given the chance to bump up the release date by four days. For those wanting a bit more, a Collector’s Edition will come with a 48-page art book, a 9” Adam Jensen figure, and a steelbook, in addition to all to the regular pre-order bonuses and a copy of the Day One Edition.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night has been officially dated for September 29. Two new additions were also announced for the rhythm-based spin-off, Kanami Mashita and Teddie. Mashita is the protégé of Rise as well as the leader of a new pop group, Kanamin Kitchen. Teddie returns in his regular form as well as his crazy General form from the Arena fighter series. Eight new screens and two new character trailers have also been posted to get a look at the two in action, and so you can get down with authority (with a weird person-bear-thing).

The Red Solstice leaves Early Access, launches in full for Windows

The Red Solstice has left Early Access and fully launched for PC. The final version features a single-player campaign, a tutorial, tactical mode, skirmish mode, and online mode with eight-player co-op. Players control an upgradeable squad comprised of eight different classes in a tactical strategy title set on Mars, and are tasked with battling the planet’s dangerous inhabitants as they tackle randomized objectives, such as retrieving supplies and defending zones. Soldiers not only earn experience by defeating enemies and accomplishing tasks, allowing them access to new abilities and classes, but they also get stronger in defeat, returning even more powerful to continue the fight against the Martians.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night coming this fall, limited editions revealed

Atlus has announced that the story-based rhythm spin-off Persona 4: Dancing All Night will hit stores and PSN this fall. As with their other titles, early adopters will get some extras for their pre-order purchase with a Launch Edition, while collectors can grab the Disco Fever Edition. The Launch Edition will run $49.99 and come with an exclusive system skin, designed to fit the latest model, and 10 wallpapers. The Disco Fever Edition will cost $79.99 and include the system skin as well as a two-disc soundtrack, a themed system pouch, two sets of for-pay costume DLC, a golden Teddie keychain, and a collectible box to hold everything.
