Star Wars Battlefront to launch for console, PC on November 17

Electronic Arts has released a new trailer announcing that Dice’s Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17. The game will feature solo, co-op (couch and online), and 40-player versus missions across Endor, Hoth, Sallust, and Tatooine. Players will be able to play as characters from the original trilogy, including Boba Fett and Darth Vader, as well as pilot speeder bikes, snow speeders, AT-ATs, Tie fighters, and the Millennium Falcon. The video runs a little over two minutes long and features a forest battle powered by the game’s engine, showcasing a handful of the different abilities, vehicles, and races.

Dungeons II goes goooooold, specs and pre-order deals detailed

Dungeons II has gone gold for Mac, SteamOS, and Windows PC. Scheduled to launch on April 24, the sequel allows players to assist The Dungeon Lord in expanding his domain into the land of man, as he spreads his influence aboveground by attacking cities. The campaign features two factions, 26 creatures, more heroes, and versus multiplayer for up to four players online or LAN. Kalypso also revealed the minimum and recommended system specs, which are listed below.

Atlus has revealed details about SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s SpotPass and StreetPass functionality. The company plans on releasing SpotPass content in waves, with the first set to release after the game is available, consisting of new demons and skill add-ons. The feature will also allow players to get a magic skill, normal skill, and a recommended physical skill for their skill pool to assign to their characters. StreetPass will assign random stat and skill bonuses to the player’s demons. And to show a bit more of what’s in store, new screenshots have been released, and a new Twitch stream is planned to go live today at 4:30 p.m. (CST). Note that the stream will contain spoilers for those who haven’t played the original version.

Not content with a soundtrack and slip cover, Atlus has decided that the launch edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker needed just one more extra to be complete: decals. Now, gamers who pre-order or pick up a launch copy will also receive sheets of decals featuring the main characters, including the protagonist, Daichi, Io, and others, plus a few logos of JP’s and Nicaea.



Grand Theft Auto Online to get new modes with Heists update

Rockstar has revealed the new content additions that are set to go live with Heists next week for GTA Online. The online component will receive additional Daily Objectives, Free Mode Activities, and new Adversary Modes. The latter will unlock as players clear Heists, and include Come Out To Play, with three runners trying to make it home before hunters track them down; Siege Mentality, which pits four defenders against six attackers; and Hasta La Vista, a race between cyclists and homicidal truckers. Full details on all of the additions are available below. A new universal email notification system will also be implemented, allowing players to reach friends in other sessions, in addition to new Awards and rewards.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster heading to PS4 this May

Square Enix has announced that they will be bringing out last year’s Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for PS4 on May 12. In addition to the two previously Japanese-only extras added to the original collection, the Final Fantasy X: Eternal Calm cinematic and Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission playable mission, the game will also feature cross-save support with the PS3 and PS Vita versions, support for remote play, and the ability to switch between the original soundtrack and the remastered version. A physical pre-order bonus was also revealed, a calendar featuring artwork by Yoshitaka Amano.

Rockstar releases 15 new screens from Grand Theft Auto V for PC

Rockstar has released over a dozen new screenshots from the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. The studio also announced another digital pre-order bonus, with PC gamers getting the chance to score $300,000 of in-game cash for Grand Theft Auto Online by ordering the digital version from Rockstar Warehouse and other outlets. For those who have already pre-ordered either the physical or digital version, that is in addition to the $1.2 million already on offer.

Hammerfall details Regicide Collector’s Edition bundles for PC

Hammerfall Publishing has begun taking pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition bundles of Regicide, their new chess-like game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. There are 10 different Collector’s Edition bundles available for the PC version, and each features early access to the game, a set of art prints, and a t-shirt or hoodie designed by artist Stefan Kopinski. Regicide features the rules of chess but with a storyline based around the Blood Angels and other Space Marine chapters battling Orks, power-ups such as physic powers, and different battlefield types. Multiplayer will also be supported for player-versus-player matches.

Citizens of Earth going live on Jan. 20, plus new screens, discounts

Atlus has released some new screenshots from their upcoming retro-styled role-playing game Citizens of Earth. Set to launch on January 20, the game puts players in the role of Vice President of Earth and tasks them with drumming up support amongst the populace to help him investigate the reason behind why so people have gone crazy, and to protect him in the process. The studio also sent word that there will be several discounts during launch week, with Steam, PSN (for PS Plus members), and eShop all offering 20% off.



Techland offers extra weapons as Dying Light pre-order perk

Techland has kicked off a new pre-order perk program for Dying Light. Players who buy the game before launch will receive special in-game weapons through weapon dockets that are redeemed in-game by the Quartermaster. The sooner players pre-order, the more weapons they will be rewarded. At the moment, since there are eight weeks until launch, eight dockets are on offer. Each docket will include a weapon from one of the game’s higher tiers, rare, exceptional, or legendary. Current and future pre-orders will need to sign up at to receive their goodies.
