The crowdfunded point-and-click adventure title Armikrog has launched for console on eShop, Live, and PSN. The game, developed by members from the teams behind Earthworm Jim and Neverhood, is a claymation adventure that follows the astronaut Tommynaut and his talking blind dog, Beak-Beak. The duo must make their way to safety after they crash land on an alien planet and get stuck in the fortress Armikrog.
Warner Bros. Interactive has teamed up with Telltale Games to distribute two of the latter’s upcoming titles, Batman – The Telltale Series and the third season of The Walking Dead. Batman will debut digitally this August for console, mobile, and PC. A physical version will hit stores on September 13 as a Season Pass Disc that will include the first of the season’s five episodes on the disc. The remainder of the episodes will be downloadable as part of the package as they become available.
King Art Games’ point-and-click adventure title The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has launched for Wii U. As with its 2011 predecessor, the sequel follows several heroes as they undertake a quest rife with referential humor. The four heroes must solve a series of logic puzzles in order to put an end to the random transformations that are taking place throughout the lands of Aventasia in a journey that’s estimated to last over 20 hours.
GOG.com has officially begun its 2016 Summer Sale. Slated to run for two weeks, the promo will feature over 1,000 deals along with activities and an XP system that awards points for use towards free games. New deals will be added every 24 hours. Square Enix Collective has published its first officially approved crowdfunded title Goetia on Steam and the Square Enix Store. The PC point-and-click adventure, developed by Sushee, is set in the 1940s at Blackwood Manor in the English countryside. Players take on the role of Abigail Blackwood, or to be more precise, her ghost, as they seek to uncover her mysterious past and what’s happened in the years since her death.
Double Fine has announced that Day of the Tentacle Remastered will be released for PC, PS4, and PS Vita on March 22. The updated re-release of the 1993 point-and-click adventure is also up for pre-order. To get the ball rolling, all versions are currently available for 10% off. The PSN release is cross-buy and comes with the additional bonus of a PS4 theme. The PC version is on sale at GOG.com, and it comes bundled with wallpapers.
Daedalic has released a new trailer for their upcoming adventure title Silence. The studio also announced that a closed beta is scheduled on July 8 for the PC version. Anyone interested can head here to fill out the sign-up form. Everyone selected will receive a credit in the game as well as a free copy of the final version.
