Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Persona 4 Golden
The final covers have been released for the Premium Edition and Limited Standard Edition of Persona Q. New videos for Persona 3’s Ken Amada and Persona 4’a Naoto were also released and are viewable below. The Persona and Etrian Odyssey hybrid will come as a first-run Limited Standard Edition bundled inside a cardboard box with a pack of tarot cards, the second set of a deck that matches a set released with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and as a Premium Edition, which costs more but also comes with a music CD, 38-page art book, and 3DS XL case.
Those Persona fans who have held out from importing the Persona Q Edition of the 3DS XL are in luck: Atlus has announced a North American release. The $199.99 themed system will only be available at GameStop and sold only as hardware, meaning that there will be no bundle pack that includes the game. The Persona Q 3DS XL will be available in limited quantities but will be up prior to release for pre-order, though no date was given on when it’ll go live for pre-order.
The Persona series will be making its debut on the 3DS this fall with the release of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. The crossover title will feature characters from Persona 3 and 4 in an Etrian Odyssey-style adventure. In an alternate world, the gangs set out to investigate the legend surrounding the deadly bell chimes that eminate from Yasogami High’s clock tower. Both sets of characters play through their own storylines as each tries to find their way out of the now-enemy-filled labyrinth.
Atlus has announced that the enhanced PS Vita version of Persona 4, Personal 4 Golden, will be launching on November 20. But in true Atlus fashion, some extras were sent along, including a new batch of screenshots showing off the combat system.
Atlus is looking to celebrate the launch of the PS Vita version of Persona 4 in style with a limited release, Persona 4 Golden: Solid Gold Premium Edition. Limited to 10,000 units, the Solid Gold Premium Edition will retail for $69.99 and include the game, a Hori hard pouch (with flap for game storage), a Hori face cover, a themed protective skin (also offered as a pre-order bonus) along with eight matching character wallpapers, and stickers of the cast.
The sound you hear is Atlus tooting its own horn. It’s also the sound of Persona 4 Golden strutting its stuff on the PS Vita with over 100,000 copies in its first week of release in Japan, making it one of the biggest titles for the system this year. To make their bragging more palatable, Atlus also threw in the official North American box art for some eye candy.
Atlus is set to bring one of their biggest franchises to the PS Vita with Persona 4 Golden. A remastered version of Persona 4, Golden will be a Vita exclusive and feature enhanced graphics, 1.5 times the voiced dialog, a new online dungeon-rescue feature for players to help out those struggling in the TV world, and a host of new content.
