Dual-field shooter Dimension Drive launching this fall for NS, PC

2Awesome Studio has sent word that they are planning to release Dimension Drive for Switch as well as the PC this fall. A space-based shooter, Dimension Drive has players controlling two games at once on a dual battlefield. The game will support single player as well as local co-op. Gamescom attendees can get a first look at the Nintendo Switch version at the Indie Arena Booth (Hall 10.1 Booth A-020).

Tactical-RPG Solstice Chronicles: MIA launches for Windows PC

Solstice Chronicles: MIA, follow-up to The Red Solstice, has gone live on Steam. Available for the discounted price of $19.99, the spiritual successor finds humans living on Mars, after having fled from a disease running rampant on Earth, facing a fresh outbreak in the colonies. The Corporation and insurgents are now fighting to find a cure and return home. The tactical-RPG is also one of the first games to have been funded through crowdfunding platform Fig.co, courtesy of 500-plus backers and investors.

Tokyo RPG Factory’s Lost Sphear launching January for NS, PC, PS4

Tokyo RPG Factory’s next release, Lost Sphear, has been officially dated for January 23. The upcoming role-playing game is set to be released for NS, PC, and PS4, with the NS and PS4 to receive physical versions exclusively through Square Enix Online Store. Gamers who pre-order the physical version will receive two music tracks at release, while digital pre-orders will receive extras for PC (two music tracks, custom wallpaper) and PS4 (two music tracks, Memoirs of the Moon system theme).

PS4 owners to get physical retail version of .hack//G.U. Last Recode

Bandai Namco has announced that they will be releasing a physical console version of their upcoming collection .hack//G.U. Last Recode. The retail release will be available alongside the digital version, which will also be sold for PC. Recode will bundle together updated versions of Rebirth, Reminisce, and Redemption. Each will feature 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, 16:9 widescreen picture, balance changes, and unspecified extras.

Sine Mora EX hitting PC, PS4, Xbox One on August 8

Sine Mora will be returning soon in a new, extended form. Sine Mora EX be bringing its time-traveling, shoot-em-up action to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 8. Nintendo Switch owners will be able to play it “later this summer.” The EX version features 16:9, as opposed to the original’s 16:10, full English dialog along with the original Hungarian, a story mode, local two-player co-op, improved rendering, new challenge levels, and three additional modes (Dodgeball, Race, and Tanks). PC and PS4 Pro versions will also run natively in 4k at 60 frames per second.

Players are getting a new look at Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies by way of San Diego Comic-Con. A new video from Activision features Sledgehammer Games’ upcoming co-op adventure, with players trekking through a Bavarian village while on the hunt for art stolen during World War II. But there’s a secret within the town that will lead to an army of—you guessed it—Nazi zombies. Titanfall 2 – Operation Frontier Shield adds free maps, mode

Titanfall 2 is receiving the Frontier Defense mode by way of a new DLC drop, Operation Frontier Shield. The free download tasks up to four players with defending a Harvester against waves of increasingly difficult enemies across five different maps. Speaking of which, the update also adds two new maps, Rise and Township. The former features long sight lines with tight quarters, while the latter has little cover but a few houses with dense interiors. For-pay content is also being added in the form of XP-boosting Elite Warpaints for weapons and Titans. Players looking to try the game out can grab a free three-day trial of it beginning on July 28.
