Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps
Commanders on the go can now keep up with the action on the front with the release of Panzer Corps for iPad. The Panzer General-inspired wargame, from developers The Lordz Games Studios and Flashback Games, features 800-plus units, 30 countries, cross-platform multiplayer, and DLC packs that include the Afrika Korps expansion and Grand Campaign scenarios.
Slitherine has announced that they will be publishing an iOS version of Lordz Games Studio’s turn-based wargame Panzer Corps Wehrmacht. The portable release, in development with Flashback Games Studio, will include the same content as the Windows PC original, including all 26 scenarios and 400-plus units, as well as all 10 downloadable Grand Campaigns for the Afrika Korps and Allied Corps expansions as in-app purchases. The studios are also seeking beta testers to assist with bug hunting and fine-tuning.
After several DLC campaigns, the fantastic Panzer Corps has received its first standalone expansion, Afrika Korps. Set in 1941, players command the Deutsches Afrikakorps in their attempt to capture the Suez Canal and the resource-rich lands of the Arabian Peninsula in a new 24-scenario campaign. Expert commanders will also be able to strike a serious blow to the British Empire by invading its biggest prize, India. The DAK brings with it 20-plus new unit types, while the enemy will offer an “improved” AI and the theater new tile-sets.
