A new single-player trailer has gone live for Battlefield 1. The video highlights the game’s campaign, which will feature a series of War Stories set across the world that involve multiple characters. Each character will have unique skills that are based on their backgrounds, and offer different perspectives on the conflict.
Players who’ve been anticipating Faith’s return are getting a chance to try Mirror’s Edge Catalyst today. A demo has been released for members of EA Access and Origin Access for PC and Xbox One. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Play First Trial is playable for up to six hours and includes 10 missions set within two districts of Glass city. The asynchronous multiplayer mode Social Play is also included, allowing players to challenge friends to their Time Trials and hide Beat L.E. within Glass for them to find. Progress will carry over to the full version.
Dice is taking a trip back in time for the next installment in the Battlefield line. The upcoming release, Battlefield 1, will take place during World War I. Beginning this October, gamers will be able to take part in 64-player battles everywhere from the Italian Alps to half-destroyed French cities and the sands of Arabia. Soldiers will have access to the earliest planes and tanks to hit the battlefield. A trailer was released to introduce Dice’s take on the Great War.
The Battlefield 4 multiplayer beta has officially launched for 360, PC, and PS3 gamers who pre-ordered the Battlefield 3 PC Digital Deluxe Edition, are registered owners of either Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition, or who are Battlefield 3 Premium members. The beta features the Siege of Shanghai map and support for two game modes, Conquest and Domination. This will also be the first time that gamers get to experience Levolution, a new feature that involves levels reacting dynamically to the ongoing action to ensure that each session is different, and earn Battlepacks, random combinations of camos, dog tags, and items.
Vanguard Games’ twin-stick shooter Gatling Gears has launched on Origin, EA’s rebranded online distribution store. Currently available for the 360 and PS3, the $9.99 top-down shooter puts players in the shoes of Max Brawley and his Gatling Gears mech as he faces down the might of the Empire to stop them from harvesting the Earth’s resources. Alone or with a friend in on- or offline co-op play, players will fight the Empire through 30 environments using gatling guns, grenades, and rockets, collecting the leftover debris to earn point multipliers and upgrades.
