SpellForce 2 – Faith in Destiny delayed until June

Nordic Games has bowed to the power that is Diablo and delayed the launch of SpellForce 2′s second standalone add-on, Faith in Destiny. Originally scheduled to launch on May 15, Nordic has acknowledged that gamers, and they themselves, will be too busy slaying the minions of hell in Blizzard’s Diablo III and felt it best to hold off the release until June 19. While Nordic would like to launch sooner, they state that their internal schedule did not allow for an earlier release.

Legacy Interactive to distribute PC retail version of Alan Wake

Nordic Games has handed over the retail reins for the upcoming PC version of Alan Wake to Legacy Interactive. The boxed edition will include the first two DLC releases, The Signal and The Writer, and is set to ship out on April 3.

Alan Wake launches on Steam, new diary for American Nightmare

Alan Wake has finally made its way to PC. After years of previews and a year-plus of coverage for the Xbox 360 version, Remedy’s psychological action thriller has launched for PC on Steam. A retail version, from Nordic Games, will be hitting store shelves “shortly.” The download version is $29.99 and features both available DLC packs, The Signal and The Writer, as well as support for multiple monitors and stereoscopic 3D. There are also multiple configurable control schemes and options to both hide the HUD and adjust the field of view.

Alan Wake to make PC debut on Steam later this month

Remedy has announced that they will be launching Alan Wake, their appropriately dubbed psychological action thriller, later this month on Steam. On February 16, PC gamers will get to step into the shoes of one Mr. A. Wake as they make their way through the town of Bright Falls in a quest to find their missing love and unravel a reality-warping mystery. The $29.99 release not only includes the original game but all of the DLC available for the 360 version (a Limited Collector’s Edition will also be available for $34.99). The PC version will support higher resolutions, multiple control schemes, and both AMD Eyefinity 3D 3-screen mode and Nvidia Nvision Sterescopic 3D.

Alan Wake – PC version to get retail release

Remedy Games’ excellent psychological action thriller Alan Wake will be hitting store shelves for the PC, courtesy of Nordic Games. The boxed edition will include both of the DLC releases currently available on Live Marketplace for the 360 version, The Signal and The Writer. Although a release date and price weren’t announced, Noridc noted that they will be passing along the official word shortly.

Arcania: Fall of Setarrif venturing to digital outlets next month

The long-delayed expansion for Arcania, Fall of Setarrif, will finally be making its way to market next month. Austria-based Nordic Games announced that they will be publishing the stand-alone release through various digital outlets on October 25 for EUR 14.99. Adventurers can expect anywhere from four to eight hours of gameplay.

Nordic Games acquires JoWooD and The Adventure Company

Nordic Games GmbH has acquired the “brands, products and selected subsidiaries” of both JoWooD and The Adventure Company. The companies will become publishing labels within Nordic Games GmbH, who plans on bringing back some of the studios’ more popular franchises, including Arcania, Painkiller, Neighbours From Hell, Panzer Elite, SpellForce, and The Guild.
