The Prinnies are on media duty this week with the release of new screens and the opening cinematic from Disgaea 5 Complete. They’ve apparently been brushing up on their web design skills, too, as the game now has an official website. The bundled re-release features the original game along with eight bonus scenarios, four extra characters, and three additional character classes.

Danganronpa 1•2 Reload released in stores, online for PS4

NIS has released Danganronpa 1•2 Reload for PS4. The bundle includes the visual novels Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, previously exclusive to PS Vita. Both titles require that players work out who among their classmates is the killer after each gruesome murder during life-or-death trials, as the class slowly shrinks one by one. Guiding the proceedings is Monokuma, an insane bear who serves as judge and executioner.

Tactical-RPG God Wars Future Past delayed until late June

NIS is delaying the release of their upcoming tactical role-playing game God Wars Future Past. The PS4, PS Vita launch date is being pushed back from March 28 to June 20. The announcement noted that the extra time will provide for “additional development and in-game balancing to ensure the best possible experience for gamers.”

NIS announces Ys VIII, Culdcept Revolt, release dates, more

NIS recently held their 2017 press event and has since released a host of trailers and announcements. Several new games have been added to their scheduled. Three titles are set to release this summer: Culdcept Revolt for 3DS, RPG Maker Fes for 3DS, and Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle for PS4 and PS Vita. Two more will follow later in the year: Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for PC, PS4, and PS Vita this fall, and at an unspecified date, Tokyo Tattoo Girls for PC and PS Vita. Five others were also dated: Cladun Returns: This Is Sengoku! (PS Vita, Steam) is coming June 6, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS4, PS Vita) on September 26, Disgaea 5 Complete (Switch) on May 23, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy (PC) on March 27, and Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (PC) on April 24. And in a surprising bit of news, The Silver Case’s PS4 version will receive two additional chapters, Yami and Whiteout Prologue. Check below to see all of the new trailers.

Birthdays the Beginning’s second interview video released, Nurture

The second release of a three-part video series interviewing Birthdays the Beginning’s Yasuhiro Wada has gone live. The debut covered Creation, while the newest, titled Nurture, focuses on the types of different worlds that players can create. In addition, he also highlights how to create an optimal ecosystem for the world’s many lifeforms.

Rose discovers her curse in A Rose in the Twilight gameplay trailer

NIS has released a new trailer for A Rose in the Twilight. The upcoming puzzle-heavy platformer from htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary developer Masayuki Furuya follows a young girl stuck in a castle. As Rose, players must make their escape while guiding their giant companion and utilizing a strange curse. The video follows Rose as she learns of her ability to control time by absorbing the color red, representing blood.

Disgaea 2 PC hits Steam for Mac, SteamOS, and Windows PC

NIS’ tactical role-playing game Disgaea 2 PC has launched on Steam. The computer version features all of the content from the original PS2 release, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, and the later enhanced PSP re-release, Dark Hero Days. In the campaign, players take on the role of Adell, a young man unaffected by a curse that’s turning Veldime into a Netherworld, wiping its citizens’ memories and transforming them into demons. In addition to the story, there is a mode to play as a has-been rockstar, Axel, a Stack Attack for deadlier attacks, an Item World to customize kit, and a Dark Court that punishes the good. The PC version features updated controls and three playable characters new to the West: Dark Eclair, Gig, and Miabel.

Birthdays the Beginning developer video series debuts with Creation

A new developer video series has been releasing for Birthdays the Beginning. The first features the game’s creator, Yasuhiro Wada, discussing the creation element and its concepts. Specific topics touched on include the game’s Macro and Micro modes, which will allow players to view their world in its entirety as a cube or on a ground level, amongst the flora and fauna. The next entry will focus on two new topics: Nurture and Celebrate.

Dood! Disgaea 5 Complete bringing tactical-RPG-ness to Switch

Disgaea 5 Complete was recently revealed for Nintendo’s Switch console. The strategy-heavy role-playing game will be available digitally and physically, and include the base game along with all downloadable content. The drops add an extra eight bonus scenarios, four characters, and three character classes. A limited edition is also on offer, and is up for pre-order on NIS’ online store.

A Rose in the Twilight scheduled to launch in April for PC, PS Vita

NIS has revealed that their upcoming puzzle-platformer title from htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary developer Masayuki Furuya, A Rose in the Twilight, will be released this April. PC and PS Vita owners will be able to snag the title on April 11 as a standard edition and as a limited edition, the latter being exclusive to NIS’ online store. Four new screens were also posted below that show more of Rose and her giant companion’s quest to escape a mysterious castle.
