The Guided Fate Paradox scheduled to launch this fall release for PS3
The PSP roguelike Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman is proving as resilient as its namesake with news that its spiritual successor, The Guided Fate Paradox, will be launching later this year for PS3. Developed by the team behind Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, The Guided Fate Paradox will introduce players to Renya Kagurazaka, a high school student who has become a god after winning a mall lottery. In order to fulfill his deity duties, he must travel to the Copy World in order to change the Original World so that people’s wishes come true.

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness to be released this fall for PS3
NIS America announced at their latest press event that Disgaea will be returning to the PlayStation this fall with Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. To celebrate the series’ 10-year anniversary, A Brighter Darkness will bring back Etna, Flonne, and Laharl from the very first entry, 2003’s Hour of Darkness. The new storyline will find a disgruntled Laharl as a disrespected Overlord seeking to earn the fear of his minions. The Item World, Master/Pupil System, and the Geo elements will be returning, as well as an overhauled character-creation system.

Generation of Chaos: Pandora’s Reflection now on PSN
NIS has launched a new strategy-RPG on PSN today, Generation of Chaos: Pandora’s Reflection. The Idea Factory-developed PSP, PS Vita release follows alchemist Claude and Yuri, his cursed sister, as they travel the lands of Hades in search of a cure. Multiple endings, an alchemy-based upgrade system, and a quasi-turn-based, time-centric combat system await those who take up their cause.

Hyperdimension Neptunia The App launches on App Store
NIS has launched a companion app in anticipation of the release of the series’ next entry, Victory. Hyperdimension Neptunia The App features Gamindustri guardians Neptune and Noire as interactive characters as well as alarms and a calendar. Purchasable content includes costumes for the two, voice packs, and the ability to have them imposed over pictures.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories launches on PSN
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is now available on PSN. The $9.99 PlayStation 2 Classic has many features that will be familiar to fans of the later releases, such as geo effects and the Item World. Newcomers, however, will find it much more manageable than its successors, making it a nice entry point for those who have been curious about but also intimidated by the game’s many modes and modifiers.

NIS has released a new batch of shots from their upcoming PS3-exclusive role-playing game Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories hitting PSN next week
Disgaea fans who missed out on the early years will get a chance to try out the second release, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, via PSN when it launches on the PS Store on January 22. Cursed Memories will be available as a PlayStation 2 Classic and offer gamers an excellent entry point to better understand the series’ turn-based system and role-playing elements. Newer fans will also find much to be familiar with, including geo effects, the Item World, and the Dark Assembly.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory announced for PS3, App to boot
NIS is returning to the Hyperdimension series next year with Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory for the PS3. The action-RPG, set to launch on March 12, marks the third installment for the series, and will feature the return of Neptune in a new quest that will see her going back to the 1980s. NIS promises “a refined and even faster-paced battle system, more dungeons, and more comedy than you can waggle a controller at.”

Clan of Champions launches for PC, now on Steam
NIS America is stepping out of their comfort zone today with the release of a new multiplayer-centric action game for PC, Clan of Champions. Developed by Acquire, creators of the Tenchu and Way of the Samurai series, Clan of Champions pits spell- and weapon-wielding players, solo or with friends, against an array of enemies in a tournament of arena battles. Online play is supported for up to three players in co-op and six in three-versus-three battle mode.
