Blazkowicz goes ballistic in new Wolfenstein: The New Order trailer

A new trailer has been released for Wolfenstein: The New Order. In the new footage, titled Nowhere to Run, beleaguered resistance fighter B.J. Blazkowicz is embroiled in a battle against General Deathshead and his Nazi stormtroopers. There’s a mixture of live-action and in-game footage, with the latter featuring dual wielding with large machine guns, steampunk-style armor, and of course, chaingun action.

Atlus shows the Conception II goods in 3DS, PS Vita unboxing video

Atlus has released a new unboxing video for the collector’s edition of their upcoming role-playing game Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars. The video shows unboxings of both the 3DS and PS Vita versions, which include a slip cover, a CD soundtrack, the game, and an art insert that doubles as the health-and-safety booklet inside the 3DS version. The Elder Scrolls Online goes live for Mac, Windows PC

Bethesda has taken The Elder Scrolls into a mysterious new realm today: the Internet. The release of The Elder Scrolls Online heralds the series’ entry into the online world, allowing Mac and PC gamers to adventure around Tamriel as they take on quests for the Empire and battle one another in player-versus-player combat. After all these years, you finally have the chance to answer the question of what it would be like if Daggerfall, Oblivion, and Skyrim were multiplayer.

Divinity: Original Sin updated to beta, gets new areas, skills, more

With today’s update, Divinity: Original Sin has officially progressed from alpha to beta. The download adds 28 talents, 60-plus skills, a witchcraft skill tree, a revamped character-creation setup, new sound effects and music, more interactive objects, improved AI, explorable areas, and a host of bug fixes. Larian notes that there are over 400 improvements in total, many of which can be seen in the new ‘Beta Announcement’ trailer.

Alien: Isolation *beep … beep-beep* tracked for October release

Over the weekend, Sega announced that Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation will be launching online and in stores on October 7. The survival-horror adventure title is taking a less action-oriented approach in comparison to its shooter predecessors, and will instead focus on the sense of paranoia and fear felt by the crew in the original film.

A new batch of screenshots has been released from Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming Arkham finale, Batman: Arkham Knight. The shots feature the (drivable) Batmobile as well as the newest villain, Arkham Knight. Batman will not only have to face off against the newcomer but also a coalition of old foes—Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn—led by Scarecrow.

Game-less Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition revealed

Bethesda has announced a premium version of Wolfenstein: The New Order, the Panzerhund Edition. The set will be available on May 20 exclusively through Bethesda’s online store for $100.00 and limited to 5,000 units. Note that the game itself is not included. What the set does include is a footlocker-style box containing an 8-inch articulated Panzerhund statue with base, a classified folder with various documents (maps, blueprints, case files, letters, and an x-ray), 14 full-color vintage postcards bound in a display book, three embroidered patches, custom replica dog tags, and a steelbook case.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma hitting store shelves, PSN on April 1

The BlazBlue brawlers return to the ring today with the release of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma. As Ragna the Bloodedge hunts down Yuuki Terumi, players will be able to battle using the new Overdrive mechanic, which charges characters the more health they lose, and seven new characters. The new roster additions are available on-disc and online, with four available from the outset, another unlockable, and the remaining two added via DLC (Kokonoe is up today and Yuuki Terumi on May 27). Network play is also said to be improved and enhanced with new mode upgrades.

Assassin’s Creed Unity announced for 2014, trailer released

The Internet has managed where the Templars have failed by revealing the next assassin. After word leaked of the next Assassin’s Creed earlier this week, Ubisoft has released a trailer featuring alpha footage of the next installment, Unity. At just over a minute long, the video gives gamers a glimpse at what they can expect as the next assassin amidst the chaos of the French Revolution. Just be careful not to cross Robespierre: “Pity is treason.”
