The first of the two new levels in the PS3-exclusive The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut, Naked Terror, was revealed last month. Now, Sega has released some shots of the second new level, Creeping Flesh. Gamers will again play as Varla and Candy, but now they must blast a path through a slaughterhouse.
Konami’s PS3-exclusive No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise has shipped to retail. Developed by AQ Interactive, this revamped iteration of the original features Move support, Rebout Mode for refighting defeated enemies, new boss battles, improved AI, new levels, and the DLC Viewer Mode, which allows access to HD versions of the game’s cutscenes. The Move motion controls will allow players to vary their beam katana attacks by altering their grip on the controller and timing of their moves.
Q Entertainment’s surreal rhythm-based shooter Child of Eden is headed to the PlayStation 3. The Tetsuya Mizuguchi-created, Ubisoft-published release will hit store shelves on September 27 and sport 3D support as well as PS Move functionality. As players fight to save Project Lumi in order to reproduce all of man’s memories inside Eden, they will experience a “multisensory effect: A visionary entertainment experience that synchronizes stunning graphics and innovative sound design to electrify the senses.”
Agent G and company are returning to the rail-shooting world with a few surprises when House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut launches on October 25. Today, Sega has revealed one of those with some new screens of Naked Terror, one of the two new PS3-exclusive levels.
A new demo for No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise has launched on PSN. The upcoming PS3-exclusive revamped port of the original, set to hit store shelves August 16, will feature updated visuals and support for the PS Move. The demo offers a chance for players to check out the new look as well as try out Travis’ beam katana using the Move setup.
GoldenEye 007 is making its way to the 360 and PS3 this fall as GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a revamped version of the Wii rerelease. Developer Eurocom returns to the series with a new engine, allowing for HD visuals and 60 frames per second, and Move functionality. The game will also include new Mi6 Ops Missions, where players must tackle Assault, Elimination, Stealth, and Defense objectives in new levels. Multiplayer also returns with new weapons, maps, characters, and modes, as well as support for four-player split-screen and 16-player online.
Come October 25, Agent G, Detective Washington, and Varla Guns will be blowing away zombies with reckless abandon (again). House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut isn’t just Overkill with Move and Sharp Shooter support, though, but a revamped rerelease sporting a number of additions. To get everyone up to speed, Sega has announced just some of the many PS3-exclusive features.
