Destiny 2 story team, voice actors chat it up at Comic-Con panel

Bungie was on hand at this year’s Comic-Con to discuss Destiny 2. Specifically, members of the story team were on a panel to talk about the changes that resulted after the events of the original. Game director Luke Smith, actor Lance Reddick, and others spoke at the show. One topic touched on was the new villain Ghaul, whose motivations were described by narrative design lead Guillaume Colomb: “I imagine that Ghaul must be extremely angry about that. He must think there is some huge injustice in the world, or he thinks that the Traveler made a mistake. Or does humanity somehow hold sway over the Traveler? Ghaul sees this as a noble quest to free the Traveler.” A recap can be found at Activision’s blog.

Destiny 2 livestream reveals Guided Games, Countdown, new screens

Given that it will be available for PC, and on Battle.Net at that, the game is being represented as a fresh start. Two features were also revealed, Guided Games and Countdown. The former allows players to search for teammates to tackle activities without having a set group, absent in some modes in Destiny, while the latter is a new competitive mode. A host of new screenshots have been released showing some of the content covered and can be found below.
