Gears of War 4’s May update goes live tomorrow with maps, rewards

The Coalition is set to release Gears of War 4’s May content update tomorrow. The download will feature two maps, the return of Gears of War 2’s Security as well as a newcomer, Dawn. Security has been given a graphical boost, shifting the setting to a dilapidated COG depository with working defense lasers, along with tweaks that are said to incorporate “Gears 4’s close-cover combat, Horde and proper support for respawn-based modes like TDM.” Dawn is set in an Outsider village set around an abandoned mining colony with two defensive structures, tight corridors, and open spaces. Lasers have also been adjusted, now turning on instead of off when a button is pressed in Horde. Other improvements include Multi-GPU support for Windows 10, a new Horde Variant, the return of Gnashers Only King of the Hill for Versus, craftable Locust Grenadier Elite, Season skin rewards, and Zombie Ben Carmine.

Halo Wars 2 adds a new Banished Leader, Colony, in latest DLC

Halo Wars 2 received its second downloadable pack, Colony. Colony is a Hunter pair that functions as a single Leader, and can be selected in every multiplayer mode. The creatures command the Banished Lekgolo on the Ark, which allows them to create and expand clusters that can control and repair vehicles. This allows Colony to tromp around the battlefield with a horde of Lekgolo-driven constructs that can be improved and healed, and if needed, reinforced with Colony Drop and Devastating Host. Friendly vehicles can also be commandeered using Vehicle Symbiotes, while nearby allies are healed with the passive ability Combat Repair.
