Metro: Last Light emerges for 360, PC, and PS3 – mind the mutants

It’s time to go back into the tunnels. Deep Silver and 4A Games’ post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Metro: Last Light is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. The follow-up to 2010’s Metro 2033, Last Light once again drives players into Moscow’s underground as mankind attempts to survive after a nuclear war has left the topside a radiated wasteland. The Metro system is home to numerous factions who have set up shop throughout the various hubs, battling roaming mutants and trying to find a mysterious doomsday weapon. As Artyom, players must navigate the chaos as they help to prevent a civil war.

Post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Metro: Last Light, sequel to 2010’s Metro 2033, has gone gold for 360, PC, and PS3. Publisher Deep Silver has announced that the final version will be hitting store shelves on May 14. Gamers who pre-order before then will received a bump up to a limited edition that includes the Ranger Mode DLC, which ramps up the difficultly by removing the HUD, adding tougher enemies, and limiting the player’s resources. It’s not all bad news: the Russian AKSU rifle and 100 military-grade rounds will be added to the starting loadout.

With less than a month to go until launch, Deep Silver has announced the minimum, recommended, and optimum specs for 4A Games’s upcoming first-person shooter Metro: Last Light. The sequel to Metro 2033 will be powered by the proprietary 4A Engine, which has been optimized to take advantage of DirectX 11 graphics cards as well as Nvidia PhysX and 3D Vision. For gamers curious if their rigs are up to snuff, Nvidia has a GPU Analyzer for Last Light.
