Mecha action shooter Hawken to be released for PS4, Xbox One

This summer, Reloaded Games will be releasing the mech-based free-to-play team-based shooter Hawken for PS4 and Xbox One. Available for PC on Steam, the console versions are set to go live in late June or early July. At release, the game will feature 30-plus mechs, multiple classes, functional and cosmetic customization options, nine environments that range from jungles to wastelands, and six game modes. The modes include co-op, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Missile Assault, Siege, Co-op Bot Destruction, and Co-op vs AI Team Deathmatch. E3 attendees can head to Microsoft’s booth or meeting room #505 in the West Hall for some hands-on time with a playable demo.

E3 2016 – Electronic Arts: Battlefield, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Titanfall

Titanfall 2 teaser released ahead of full gameplay reveal this June

EA has released a teaser for Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2. The wall-running, mech-piloting shooter will have a full reveal later this summer, but for now, players will have to make do with the briefest of glimpses at what’s in store. Not much is shown in the snippet, with a tropical location hosting a drop pod and a mech with a sword. Gameplay will be debuted at EA Play on June 12.

MechWarrior Online launches on Steam, gets new Faction Play mode

Steam has added Piranha Games’ MechWarrior Online to its catalog. Also, starting today, players can access Faction Play to battle for the Inner Sphere in Clan Invasions. But that’s not all, robot jox, as more announcements will be made tomorrow during a livestream from Piranha’s HQ in Vancouver, set to run from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. (CST). On top of news on upcoming developments, 100 players will be on-site for streamed matches.

Kasedo to publish new strategy title, Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons

Kasedo Games has announced a new mech-themed real-time strategy title, Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons. As commander of the Black Talons mercenary outfit, players must team up with the defeated Genai forces in order to escape their conquered planet by breaking the blockade set up by the victorious Tzanar Union. The campaign will unfold to include up to five worlds, and progress is determined by how much the player affects a local system’s balance of power and their relations with other factions. Squads will be persistent and customizable, made up of specialized units with their own abilities, skill trees, and unique weapons. The Black Talons’ base will also be customizable with facilities to boost squad skills and numbers as well as bombard enemy units.

Titanfall update adds menu shortcut, Private Match beta, and more

A new update has gone live for Titanfall. The latest patch adds several new features and tweaks, including an Xbox One Party App shortcut in the One’s menu, a beta version of Private Match, indicators on the minimap when grunts shoot, and three new scoreboard icons. Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut out for Xbox, PC, tomorrow for PS4

Strike Suit Zero makes its console debut today with the release of the Director’s Cut edition for Xbox One. PC gamers can also download the re-release, which has been home to the original version since early last year, while PS4 owners will be able to grab it tomorrow.
