Marvel vs. Capcom Origins now available on Live, PSN
Capcom’s two-in-one set Marvel vs. Capcom Origins has launched on Live Arcade and PSN. The 1200 MS Point/$14.99 release includes two of the series’ earliest entries, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. Touted as being arcade perfect, the versions included in the collection also feature eight-player lobbies and spectator mode, replay saving, HD upgrades, and dynamic challenges.

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins to bring early Versus action to 360, PS3
The Versus series has had something of a renaissance over the past few years, with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 making its way onto Live Arcade and PSN, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars bringing some over-the-top action to the Wii, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 seeing two releases within nine months of one another. There’s even an iOS version coming out soon for 2. But Capcom is returning to the series’ roots this summer with the download-only two-game set Marvel vs. Capcom Origins.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is now showboating on the App Store. Available for iPhone and iPod touch, Capcom’s over-the-top tag brawler includes all 56 characters, the variable tag system, and the Flick Button, a new control mechanism for pulling off advanced moves with a swipe.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 bashes its way onto PS Vita
The Vita is getting in on the brawling action early with the launch of Capcom’s Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The updated re-release includes the new on- and offline Heroes & Heralds mode, available today as a downloadable update; eight new stages; a tweaked fighting system; 12 new fighters (six for each side); and a six-player Spectator Mode. The Vita version also includes touch screen controls, a Near-only Gold Herald color option, and the ability to fight and share replays anywhere via wi-fi. Also, any DLC purchased for the PlayStation 3 version can be shared with the handheld version.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gets free DLC today, Heroes & Heralds
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3′s free Heroes & Heralds DLC is now available for the 360 and PS3. The new mode, playable on and offline, pits the Heroes and Heralds factions against one another as the heroes battle Galactus’ heralds to save Earth from annihilation. Fighters are customizable through the use of Ability cards, which affect the combatants’ stats and powers with enhancements ranging from speed boosts to invisibility.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 announced for PS Vita
In addition to announcing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3′s reversible cover, Capcom also revealed that the title will be hitting the PlayStation Vita. The portable version will include the entire roster from the 360 and PS3 version as well as some “additional bonuses.”
