Enter the Gungeon getting Supply Drop update, to be at Pax West

Dodge Roll is prepping a new patch for Enter the Gungeon, the Supply Drop Update. The drop will add over a hundred rooms, along with new companions, bosses, enemy types, shrines, and weapons. Of particular note is the Bullet Gun, a bullet that shoots bullet-shooting guns. Another update is planned for later this year, and an expansion in early 2017. In the meantime, Pax West attendees can check out the new content at booth 2343.

Supernatural-tinged noir Virginia launching Sept. 22, demo out

Variable State has sent word that their upcoming first-person thriller, Virginia, is set to launch on September 22. The noir is said to be infused with elements of horror and science fiction, and being set in 1992, inspired by several shows of that era, including X-Files, Twin Peaks, and the revamped The Outer Limits. As a newly minted FBI agent, players are assigned to look into the disappearance of a young boy from Kingdom, Virginia, Lucas Fairfax. A veteran of the force has also been assigned the case, and will keep an eye on the player throughout the investigation. A demo for Mac and Windows PC is currently available through Steam.

Dynamic RPG Zombasite launches in full for Linux, Mac, and Windows

Soldak’s latest open-world action role-playing game, Zombasite, is now available for PC. The full version has left early access and can be purchased for 25% off during launch week for Linux, Mac, and Windows. As the leader of a struggling group of survivors, players must navigate a dynamic land that is succumbing to the Zombasite parasite. They will have to make sure their clan is fed, protected, and happy. Clan members will also need to be heavily armed, in the event that negotiations with nearby factions devolve into open warfare. The game features eight main classes, hybrid classes, 24 specialties, co-op multiplayer, and numerous options to customize sessions.

Disgaea 2 PC launching January for OS X, Steam OS, Windows PC

NIS is set to expand their PC footprint next year with Disgaea 2 PC. The port is being described as the definitive version and will include content from both the PS2 version, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, and the later, expanded PSP version, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. Additionally, three characters previously exclusive to the Japanese version of Cursed Memories will make their North American debut: Dark Eclair, Gig, and Miabel. And as a bonus for those who own Disgaea PC, four characters from the sequel—Adell, Rozalin, Zetta, and Pleinair—have been added today in a new patch.

Four-player brawler Mother Russia Bleeds to launch Sept. 5 for PC

Le Cartel’s arcade-style four-player beat ‘em up Mother Russia Bleeds has been officially dated for September 5. The brawler is set in an alternate world where a group of imprisoned fighters needs to battle their way through swaths of troops and freaks throughout the USSR. In addition to the campaign, a wave-based Survival mode will be available at launch and is slated to be joined later by Versus mode and Boss Rush. Both the standard version and Dealer Edition, a bundle with two copies of the game and the soundtrack, can be pre-ordered for 10% off at the official site.

Vikings – Wolves of Midgard gets new teaser, pre-order discount

Kalypso has released a new trailer for their upcoming action role-playing game Vikings – Wolves of Midgard. The footage highlights the combat system, including hand-to-hand melee and magic, along with a few of the locations and some of the enemies. Players will need to protect and rebuild their village from a variety of beasts as a warrior or shieldmaiden, solo or with a friend in online co-op. Balheim, Midgard, and Niflheim will open for exploration, while the gods can be swayed by blood sacrifices. Kalypso has also kicked off a pre-order promo on Steam offering a 15% discount as well as an exclusive customization pack, a digital art book, and a digital soundtrack.

Update adds dungeons, more to PC version of Elder Scrolls Online

Update 11 has gone live for the Mac and Windows PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online. The download adds two new Argonian-themed four-player dungeons plus a slew of customization options via the Style Parlor. Through the parlor, players will be able to change their appearance, name, and race, as well as dye their costume and access “a large selection of cosmetic and quality of life additions.” Console players will be able to download Update 11 on August 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which, in addition to the PC update, will also introduce text chat. The Shadows of the Hist two-dungeon pack is available for 1,500 Crowns, while appearance and race-change tokens are 1,000 Crowns each and the name-change tokens are 2,500 Crowns each.

Forced Showdown – Drone Invasion to hit Steam on July 31

Forced Showdown is set to receive its latest expansion pack, Drone Invasion, on July 31. The add-on will feature a new campaign, world, 10 enemies, 10 bosses, 22 cards, 10 modifiers, 18 quests, and mode, Mentor’s Maze Show. Players will be able to tackle the extra content with a new character, the mech-suited ex-soldier Settsu. Dubbed a “bullet-hell crawler,” players build decks of power-up cards and engage in twin-stick combat to survive a roguelite experience.

Becks sets out for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U and Xbox One in Mighty No. 9

After a long road, the Mega Man-inspired action-platformer Mighty No. 9 has been released for console and PC. Developed by comcept and designed by Keiji Inafune, Mighty No. 9 follows the adventures of the robot Beck, unit No. 9 of a 10-robot squad of combat units. After a computer virus infects the others as well as the world’s machines, Beck, alongside his friend Call, must fight the now-violent bots as they track down the source.
