Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Apocalypse detailed, trailer released

Activision has announced Treyarch’s final downloadable pack for Black Ops II’s Season Pass, Apocalypse. The fourth pack will include four multiplayer maps and a new mode for Zombies called Origins. The maps, detailed below, include Pod, a utopian community abandoned in the 1970s; Frost, a European city covered in snow and split by a frozen canal; Takeoff, a map based off of Stadium from Black Ops’ First Strike pack; and Dig, an adaptation of World at War’s Courtyard. Origins takes Zombies into a “Dieselpunk-stylized World War I-era France” (excellent!) where four heroes from the first map—Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen—return to help in the trenches.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Vengeance revealed, debuting July on 360

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s next download pack, Vengeance, will launch on July 2 for 360. The Treyarch-developed drop will feature four new maps set across the globe: Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink. Cove is set on a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, while Detour is set on a destroyed suspension bridge. Rush takes place on an abandoned paintball course, and Uplink is a re-imagined version of Summit from the first Black Ops. The pack will also include a new themed Zombies addition, Buried. Players will have to battle the undead as they try to return to their homes in an Old West mining town, but now they will have access to the new Ray Gun Mark II.

Capcom has announced that Dotnod’s Remember Me is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. The Paris-based developer’s latest takes place in 2048, during a time when memories are digitized for sharing and selling. As Nilin, a former memory hunter turned vigilante, players assist the rebel group Errorists in their battle against the Memorize company to prevent its Sensen technology from further corrupting its users’ memories and erasing their identities. Nilin is not only handy with combos, but she is also capable of altering events by manipulating other characters’ memories and rearranging glitches.

Fuse demo now on Live and PSN, trailer released

A new demo has launched for EA and Insomniac Games’ latest shooter, Fuse. The demo allows players to try the co-op-centric third-person shooter with up to two players locally via split-screen and four players online as four uniquely skilled operatives: Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble, and Naya Deveraux. The goal is to prevent the rogue military group Raven from using the dangerous alien energy known as Fuse. Set around the game’s halfway mark, the demo allows players to level up the characters and their Xenotech weapons as they make their way through Raven’s base in the Karakoram Mountains.

Soulcalibur V to launch on Games on Demand, PS Store next week

Namco Bandai’s enduring weapon-based fighting series Soulcalibur is returning to Live Games on Demand and debuting on PS Store next week with its latest entry, Soulcalibur V.
