Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two demo available for 360, PS3
Disney Interactive has released a demo for the upcoming action-platformer Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on Live Marketplace and PSN. The demo allows gamers to take Mickey through the tutorial and a few early levels, where they will get to chat up the original Disney star, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Players will also get to try out some of the co-op abilities with a friend.

Dishonored to get Dunwall City Trials in December, more DLC in ’13
Bethesda has announced the first of three downloadable add-ons for Arkane Studios’ recently released action title Dishonored. The Dunwall City Trials pack, set to launch in December for 400 MS Point/$4.99, will include 10 challenge maps centered on arena battles, drop assassinations, and time trials. Each challenge will also have its own global leaderboard.

Silent Hill: Downpour patch launches on Live, still in works for PS3
The patch for Silent Hill: Downpour announced last April is now available on Live for 360. Improvements include an increased frame rate, fixed save system, fixed bugs in the Homeless mission, and other “performance enhancements/bug fixes.” It was also noted that a patch for the PlayStation 3 version is still in the works and set to launch “in the coming weeks.”

Darkstalkers Resurrection combo pack announced for 360, PS3
Capcom has announced another download-only fighter double pack for Live and PSN. The next set lined up to follow last month’s Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is Darkstalkers Resurrection, a compilation including Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3.

Forza Horizon demo brings Colorado’s scenic roadways to Live
Turn 10 Studios has launched a new demo for their upcoming racer Forza Horizon. The demo includes a handful of cars as well as several event types, such as a street race over the Finley Dam and a Horizon Festival event over the upper hills. Players who download the demo will also unlock the exclusive 2013 SRT Viper GTS for play in the full version when it launches on October 23.

Forza Horizon launch trailer, demo tear up the streets of Colorado
The buildup to Forza Horizon’s release at month’s end begins today with the reveal of the launch trailer. The footage features a winding race through Colorado’s busy streets and its sprawling countryside. The trailer also doubles as an announcement that the demo will launch next week, on October 9. The demo will feature the locations from the trailer, as well as several events that span numerous environs and cars.

The Amazing Spider-Man game, DLC now on Live, PSN, and Steam
The Amazing Spider-Man is available digitally today, as well as some pre-order and post-launch downloadable content. The full game is now available from Live Games on Demand for 4800 MS Points, PS Store for PS3 for $59.99, and Steam for PC for $49.99. A host of downloadable content, detailed below, has also been released: Oscorp Search & Destroy Pack, Rhino Challenge Pack, Stan Lee Adventure Pack, and the new Lizard Rampage Pack. The packs range in price from 240 MS Points/$2.99 to 320 MS Points/$3.99, and can be purchased as a set on PS Store for $9.99.

Jet Grind Radio launches on PSN, tomorrow on Steam and Live
The HD version of Jet Set Radio, originally released on the Dreamcast as Jet Grind Radio, has launched on PSN. PC and Xbox 360 gamers will be able to download it tomorrow off Live Arcade and Steam. As a part of the Heritage Collection, Jet Set Radio includes extra content, such as fan-contributed graffiti and a making-of documentary, in addition to all of the platforming spray-painting action.

Akai Katana unleashes (bullet) hell on Live Games on Demand
Xbox Live Games on Demand just got a bit shump-ier today with the launch of Akai Katana. The Rising Star Games-published, Cave-developed shooter features three modes, local co-op play, leaderboard support, and new settings. The Games on Demand version is going for a cool $24.99.

Sleeping Dogs demo now available on Live, PSN, and Steam
One is rarely ever certain that they want to dive feet first into an undercover investigation focusing on the Hong Kong Triad. Fortunately, Square Enix has released a demo for their open-world action title/undercover cop drama Sleeping Dogs to entice the leery. The demo, available for consoles and PC, offers players the chance to get some hands-on time with Officer Wei and try out the melee combat system as he pursues rival gang members through a busy market and over rooftops. There’s also a peak at a later level where players get to try the shooting mechanics as he blasts his way out of a warehouse.
