Smite launches on Steam, Ultimate God Pack on sale

Hi-Rez’s mythology-themed MOBA Smite is now available on Steam. Up until the recent final launch of the Xbox One version, the free-to-play title had been downloadable through a proprietary service. The Steam version supports integration with the current infrastructure, so both communities can queue and play together. No migration is needed for those who prefer playing their titles through Steam, as the game is account based, and all that is required is players to log in with their username. To celebrate the release, Hi-Rez is selling the Ultimate God Pack, which includes all current and future gods, for the reduced price of $19.99 until September 13.

The final download includes four new maps (Fracture, Overload, Quarantine, and Swarm), an Exo Grapple playlist, and the Exo Zombies finale, Descent. RE0, RE1 getting physical release in Resident Evil Origins Collection

Resident Evil Origins Collection will bring the recently released Resident Evil HD and an upgraded Resident Evil 0 to store shelves next year. Scheduled to launch on January 19, the $39.99 set will be available for PS4 and Xbox One, while Resident Evil 0 will be sold separately digitally around the same time for $19.99 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Capcom also revealed Wesker Mode for Resident Evil 0, which will feature fellow S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers, with Wesker taking on the role of Bill Coen with a new look and new abilities. Twenty screenshots as well as two trailers have also gone live, one introducing the package and the other detailing Wesker Mode.

Noir investigative thriller Blues and Bullets out for Xbox One

The first episode in a new noir adventure title has gone live for Xbox One, Blues and Bullets. A Crowd of Monsters’ crime thriller is already available on Steam, and has made its way onto console through the ID@Xbox program. As former detective Eliot Ness, players must investigate crime scenes, interrogate suspects, question witnesses, and at times, draw down on the criminals of Santa Esperanza. How players interact with characters will also impact how they are received by the city’s inhabitants.

Hi-Rez Studios’ free-to-play mythology-themed MOBA Smite has left beta and is now officially available for Xbox One. All million-plus beta participants will find that all purchases, progress, and achievements have been carried over. While free to play, Smite also offers for-pay content in the form of cosmetic skins and new gods. Items can be purchased singularly or in a bundle via The Founder’s Pack, available until August 31, which contains all 67 gods, all future gods, 400 Gems, Ares ‘Soldier of Fortune’ skin, and Ymir ‘Cacodemon X’ for $29.99. For those wanting a freebie, PC players who take advantage of a one-time deal to link their accounts before August 31 will receive a Zeus Xbox skin for both versions. Monthly updates are planned to add new gods, content, and modes.

The upcoming Mega Man compilation, Mega Man Legacy Collection, has been officially dated for August 25. Save for the 3DS version, that is, which is slated for an early 2016 release. Gamers who prefer physical copies should be glad to hear that Capcom plans on releasing the 3DS, PS4, and Xbox One versions in stores early next year as well. Boxed copies will cost a bit more, however, running $29.99 instead of $14.99. Details about the 3DS and physical versions should be coming along in the near future.
