Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning received its second DLC pack today with the release of Teeth of Naros. The latest expansion adds a new location, the floating city of Idylla, and a race of giants known as the Kollossae. An investigation into the giants’ faith will open up over 20 new side quests and five new dungeons, offering players access to three new Twists of Fate, 18 new weapons, and nine new armor sets.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’s second DLC pack was announced today, Teeth of Naros. The 800 MS Point/$9.99 expansion will add a new location, the floating city of Idylla, and a race of giants known as the Kollossae, whose faith will be the focus of the new quest. Idylla will offer a wide variety of content, including over 20 side quests, five new dungeons, three new Twists of Fate, 18 new weapons, nine new armor sets, and a “mysterious” new race.
The Legend of Dead Kel, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’s first DLC pack, is now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. Set on the island of Gallows End, a sizable area estimated to add 15% additional land to the base game, players can take on new side quests and challenges, explore the new Dverga Fastings dungeon type, and claim an estate, Gravehal Keep. The estate hosts several buildings, as well as a retinue who will have their own backstories and sidequests. New sets of armor, 18 new weapons, and three new Twists of Fate will aid in felling new foes.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be receiving a new DLC pack, The Legend of Dead Kel, on March 20. All told, the DLC sounds like it’ll be a healthy one. The new location, the island of Gallows End, is estimated to add 15% additional land to the base game. Players will be able to tackle new side quests and challenges in a new dungeon type, Dverga Fastings, as well as own an estate, Gravehal Keep. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the latest action-RPG from 38 Studios’ Big Huge Games, is now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. The creation of the open-world adventure was guided by author R.A. Salvatore and features the work of The Elder Scrolls alumnus Ken Rolston. As a newly revived hero, players must travel the regions of Amalur as a human or elf in search of allies as they unravel their destiny and grow powerful enough to put an end to the evil plaguing the lands.
Things are starting to pick up for 38 Studios’ upcoming role-playing game Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. In addition to a demo announced for the 360, PC, and PS3, set to launch on January 17, publisher EA has sent word that they will be kicking off a cross promotion between Reckoning and Mass Effect 3. The demo includes the full game’s Tutorial Mode, a portion of the game world, a bit of character creation, and 45 minutes of play time. Also, by checking out both games’ demos, players will unlock a special item pack for each game that contains a weapon and an armor set designed by Todd McFarlane (Spawn).
