NIS has released a new trailer for Kadokawa Games’ high-flying action title Rodea the Sky Soldier. The new video introduces Ion and shows the beginning of Rodea’s adventure, with around a minute of gameplay. Given Yuji Naka’s role in the game’s development, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it looks like a colorful cross between Nights and Sonic.

Rodea the Sky Soldier gets bumped back to October 13, an LE for 3DS

NIS has announced that Rodea the Sky Soldier has been delayed from September 22 to October 13. It’s not all bad news, though. The studio also revealed a North American-exclusive Limited Edition version for 3DS, which will include a collector’s box and a soundtrack. A Limited Edition was already announced for the Wii U version. Both can be pre-ordered at NIS America’s online store for $54.99 and $74.99, respectively.

NIS has released a new batch of screenshots from the Yuji Naka-helmed action title Rodea the Sky Soldier. In addition, a set of character art was also released that showcases the main cast: the spunky mechanic Ion, fugitive Princess Cecilia, humanoid hero robot Rodea, and nefarious Emperor Geardo.

NIS has revealed that the upcoming Yuji Naka- and Zin Hasegawa-developed action title Rodea the Sky Soldier will be hitting store shelves on September 22. In addition to the 3DS and Wii U versions, all of the first-print copies of the Wii U version will also come packed with the Wii version of the game in North America and Europe. For those who haven’t upgraded to the Wii U, the early prints will be the only way to snag a copy of the Wii version.
