God Wars Future Past official site updated, story trailer released

NIS has released a story trailer for their upcoming tactical role-playing game God Wars Future Past. The official site has also been updated with information about the battle system and a handful of the characters. The game follows the origins of Japan as told through folklore, with Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga battling for control of the country, known as Mizuho. As the recently imprisoned Princess Kaguya, players must learn the truth about their past, along the way gaining access to 14 customizable characters, over 30 classes, and 400-plus skills.

God Wars Future Past debut trailer released, limited edition detailed

NIS has opened up pre-orders for the standard and limited editions of God Wars Future Past. The limited edition of the PS4, PS Vita strategy role-playing game will be exclusive to NIS’ online store and come bundled with several extras: a collector’s box, art book, soundtrack, 27″ x 38″ cloth poster, and 3.5” pocket mirror. Coinciding with the reveal of the premium version is the release of the debut trailer, which features the game’s intro cinematic.

NIS reveals new tactical-RPG for PS4, PS Vita, God Wars Future Past

NIS is once again teaming up with Natural Doctrine developer Kadokawa Games. This time, the duo will be bringing a new tactical role-playing game to PS4 and PS Vita, God Wars Future Past. Scheduled to launch early next year, digitally and physically, their latest will follow a skewed version of Japanese history told through traditional origin stories. Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga vie for control of the country, known then as Mizuho, as the once-imprisoned Princess Kaguya escapes her sacrificial fate to learn the truth about her past. During her quest, players will gain access to 14 customizable characters, over 30 classes, and 400-plus skills.

Rodea the Sky Soldier launches for 3DS and Wii U

Kadokawa Games’ aerial action title Rodea the Sky Soldier has hit store shelves for 3DS and Wii U. Developed by Sonic and Nights creator Yuji Naka, Rodea tasks players with saving the sky kingdom of Garuda from the renascent forces of the Naga Empire. Also, as a reminder, publisher NIS has included the Wii version in first-run copies of the Wii U version.

Rodea the Sky Soldier intro, gameplay trailer released

NIS has released a new trailer for Kadokawa Games’ high-flying action title Rodea the Sky Soldier. The new video introduces Ion and shows the beginning of Rodea’s adventure, with around a minute of gameplay. Given Yuji Naka’s role in the game’s development, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it looks like a colorful cross between Nights and Sonic.

Rodea the Sky Soldier gets bumped back to October 13, an LE for 3DS

NIS has announced that Rodea the Sky Soldier has been delayed from September 22 to October 13. It’s not all bad news, though. The studio also revealed a North American-exclusive Limited Edition version for 3DS, which will include a collector’s box and a soundtrack. A Limited Edition was already announced for the Wii U version. Both can be pre-ordered at NIS America’s online store for $54.99 and $74.99, respectively.

NIS has released a new batch of screenshots from the Yuji Naka-helmed action title Rodea the Sky Soldier. In addition, a set of character art was also released that showcases the main cast: the spunky mechanic Ion, fugitive Princess Cecilia, humanoid hero robot Rodea, and nefarious Emperor Geardo.

NIS has revealed that the upcoming Yuji Naka- and Zin Hasegawa-developed action title Rodea the Sky Soldier will be hitting store shelves on September 22. In addition to the 3DS and Wii U versions, all of the first-print copies of the Wii U version will also come packed with the Wii version of the game in North America and Europe. For those who haven’t upgraded to the Wii U, the early prints will be the only way to snag a copy of the Wii version.
