Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Jet Set Radio
The HD version of Jet Set Radio, originally released on the Dreamcast as Jet Grind Radio, has launched on PSN. PC and Xbox 360 gamers will be able to download it tomorrow off Live Arcade and Steam. As a part of the Heritage Collection, Jet Set Radio includes extra content, such as fan-contributed graffiti and a making-of documentary, in addition to all of the platforming spray-painting action.
The time for righteous tagging nears! Sega has announced that Jet Set Radio, what you might know as Jet Grind Radio, will be launching on Live Arcade and Steam on September 19, on PSN for PS3 on September 18, and on PSN for PS Vita on October 16 for 800 MS Points/$9.99. PS Plus subscribers will be able to snag the game a week early, on September 11.
The recently announced high-definition remake of Jet Set Radio will be making its way to Android and iOS devices. The mobile versions will feature the same gameplay as the original, but they will also include support for OpenFeint and Retina display for using photos as in-game graffiti.
An upgraded version of the Dreamcast action-tagger Jet Set Radio—released as Jet Grind Radio in this part of the world—has been announced. Sega plans on releasing the download-only HD-ified port this summer across a wide range of platforms, including the 360, PC, PS3, and PS Vita. The Vita version will include all of the features and modes of the original, as well as touchscreen functionality and camera integration.
