The mercenaries are heading back into the fire today with the launch of Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, the standalone expansion to Back in Action. After liberating Arulco, your motley crew of hired guns is being called to aid the nation of Khanpaa against another group of mercenaries who have seized power and are terrorizing the populace. This new outing features 10 new mercenaries, 10 new maps, a new 15-plus-hour campaign, and new weapons and gear that are both outdated and in short supply.

Kalypso has released a new trailer for Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, the upcoming standalone expansion for Back in Action. The download-only release, set to launch on Steam and other digital outlets on September 25, will include 10 new maps set within war-torn Khanpaa, 10 new recruitable mercs, new weapons, and new missions.

Jagged Alliance: Crossfire set to lock and load this September
Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, the standalone expansion for Back in Action that was announced back in June, will launch next month on Steam and other digital outlets. Crossfire will include 10 new maps set within war-torn Khanpaa, as well as 10 new mercs to hire, new weapons, and new missions. And since the nation is on the brink of collapse, supplies will be scarce and weapons outdated. Back in Action fans will also be happy to hear that the AI will be improved, and that there will be options to toggle line of sight and fog of war.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action – Point Blank DLC now available
Some more Jagged Alliance news, following yesterday’s announcement about Back in Action’s first standalone expansion, Crossfire. Today’s release is the second round of DLC for Back in Action, Point Blank. The $4.99 pack follows mercenaries Gus Tarballs, Robert James “Scully” Sullivan, and Donna “Spider” Housten in their assignment to save US ambassador John Gaiden from renegade ex-CIA agent Rygor Manson.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action to get standalone add-on, Crossfire
Kalypso has announced Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, the first standalone expansion for the recently released Back in Action. Scheduled to launch this summer, Crossfire sends players to Khanpaa, a once-peaceful country now under assault by mercenary troops. In order to secure his people’s safety, Ambassador Behnam Atiqullahs hires your company to see their tormentors on their way. Ten new mercs and a variety of new weapons will be available to tackle the new enemy types and hazards.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action gets Shades of Red mission DLC
The Jagged Alliance team has been working on more than (extensive) patches, and today the first round of DLC has hit Steam. The Shades of Red Pack, available for $4.99, includes a new mission based on the German-only Jagged Alliance novel by I.M. Wong, Shades of Red, which is estimated to add another hour of playtime as well as detail the backstories of three of the mercs. [Continue]

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, the latest in the long-running strategy series centered on a player-owned Private Military Corporation, is now available in retail and through digital outlets. As the leader of a PMC, you will hire, train, and equip mercenaries in order to fulfill a contract that calls for the deposition of Arulco island’s ruling dictator. A “plan & go” system combines both turn-based and real-time strategy elements, while the soldiers gain experience and advance through a role-playing-styled leveling system.
