Replay Games, the current owners of the Leisure Suit Larry license, are looking to get Larry back out onto the market with a new release of an old favorite. The studio is currently seeking $500,000 in funding from the community via the crowd-funding service Kickstarter to remake and release the original Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards for iOS and PC. The remake, Leisure Suit Larry In the Land of The Lounge Lizards Reloaded, will be overseen by series creator Al Lowe.

I Am Alive release date announced for PS3, companion App launches

Ubisoft’s post-apocalyptic action-adventure title I Am Alive will be launching on PSN on April 4. Released earlier this month on Live Arcade for the 360, I Am Alive follows a lone survivor of the Event as he crosses a desolate, toxic waste in search of his wife and daughter. Players must scale buildings, horde their goods, and face off against fellow survivors.

Mass Effect 3 hits store shelves, new iOS Apps and DLC launch

It’s time for the millions of Commander Shepards to strap up and get ready because Mass Effect 3 is now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. The trilogy-ending release thrusts players into a massive galactic war as mankind and their allies battle the ancient Reapers. Newcomers will get a chance to meet a large cast of squadmates while series vets will be able to take their old troop into combat once more, for the final time. New to the series is the Galaxy at War system, a co-op online component that ties into the single-player game. Two iOS apps are also available, Mass Effect Infiltrator ($6.99), a cover-based third-person shooter, and Mass Effect 3 Datapad (free). As with Galaxy at War, progress made in the apps will be reflected in the main campaign.

Epic Quest brings role-playingness to the pinball world

Zen Studios’ latest pinball adventure, Epic Quest, is now available for consoles and mobile platforms. Xbox gamers can download the role-playing pinballer as part of the Pinball FX2 platform for 240 MS Points, while PlayStation gamers can snag it as a standalone download off PSN for $2.49. Those wanting their pinball on the go can download an Android or iOS copy off Android Marketplace and App Store, respectively, for $0.99.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies app gets tweak, weapon update

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies has received a new update today, which includes optimizations and fixes as well as a few new weapons to the zombie-slaying app. In addition to increased performance, players can also look forward to taking down the undead with the Ray Gun and Monkey Bomb. A six-tier Point Pack system has also been introduced, which allows players to upgrade faster with real-world cash. The tiers range from $0.99 for 12,000 points (Tier 1) to $49.99 for 2,000,000 points (Tier 50).

Namco Bandai has reached into its vaults and compiled a new collection of yesteryear’s hits for iOS. Xevious, The Tower of Druaga, Motos, and Phozon are now available as a free release on the App Store for the iPhone 4/4S, iPad 2, and iPod touch (4th generation). Well, mostly free – there are some restrictions. While free to download, gameplay is restricted to one title once per day. To play more than one title a day or to go an additional round, players will have to pony up Play Coins, purchasable from within the app, or buy the titles outright.

RayForce now available on App Store

Taito and Square Enix have released the top-down shooter RayForce on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch. Originally released as Galactic Attack on the Sega Saturn back in 1995, RayForce is the first in the Ray series, with RayStorm released in 1996 and RayCrisis in 1998. The iOS version is going for $11.99 and features a number of handheld tweaks, including sliding gestures for controls and options to play in the original arcade aspect ratio as well as to enable automatic firing for button-free play. Game Center is also supported.
