Fallout C.H.A.T. brings emojis and GIFs to Android, iOS devices

In anticipation of the upcoming release of Fallout 4, Bethesda has released Fallout C.H.A.T. for phones and tablets. Vault-Tec’s Communications Hub And Transmitter adds a custom keyboard to Android, iPad, and iPhone devices that sports 60-plus Fallout emojis and animated Vault Boy GIFs. The download is free over at App Store and Google Play.

Fallout Shelter updated with new mode, features for Android, iOS

An update has gone live for both the Android and iOS versions of Fallout Shelter. The patch adds several new features, including the ability to save a game to the cloud, scavenge equipment from dead Raiders, skip the tutorial, access a statistics page in the Survival Guide, and identify a stranger for extra caps. Survival Mode was also added for overseers seeking a greater challenge. iOS users receive some bonus goodies as well: Piper from Fallout 4 and five free lunchboxes.

Fallout Shelter now available for Android, updated for iOS

Fallout Shelter has been updated for iOS and released on Google Play for Android. The new version adds Mr. Handy, a robotic companion that is bestowed as a premium reward. The helpful bot can be tasked with collecting resources inside the Vault, venturing into the wasteland to collect (precious, precious) caps, and fending off attacks. And it will have two new problems to contend with, also introduced in the update, Deathclaw invasions and Molerat infestations.

Fallout Shelter tops App Store charts, played 70 million times daily

Bethesda has announced that Fallout Shelter, the mobile strategy and management sim that tasks players with running a Vault, has hit two milestones: “the top downloaded game in 48 countries and the top downloaded app of any kind in 25 countries.” Released during E3, Fallout Shelter toppled Candy Crush as the third top-grossing app in the US within two days of launch, and it remains the most-downloaded free game on the App Store. And to top off the stats, the release also noted that the app has been played 70 million times daily since release.

E3 2015: Bethesda – Fallout 4, Doom, Dishonored 2, and more

Bethesda had a number of surprises at their E3 presentation. Not only is Fallout 4 coming out this November, less than four months away, but a new Fallout game is also out for iOS. Additionally, Dishonored Definitive Edition and Dishonored 2 were revealed, and more was shown from their upcoming free-to-play PC arena action title BattleCry and id’s latest efforts on Doom. Halo: Spartan Strike brings back twin-stick action, out for mobile, PC

A new Halo twin-stick shooter has gone live for mobile devices and PC, Halo: Spartan Strike. The $5.99 download-only release is set in New Mombasa during the events of Halo 2. Players take on the role of a Spartan in an ONI simulation, guiding UNSC troops through 30 missions set throughout cities and jungles. Throughout the missions, soldiers gain access to new abilities, weapons, and vehicles. Windows 8 versions also include support for weekly challenges, leaderboards, and Achievements with accompanying emblems, avatars, and nameplates.

Pike & Shot: Tercio to Salvo goes live, adds new units, scenarios

The first expansion for Pike & Shot, Tercio to Salvo, has gone live for iOS (iPad) and Windows PC. The add-on allows players to try their hand at 10 new historical scenarios that span from the 16th to early 17th centuries. The new battles bring with them 49 new army lists and the debut of two nations, Dutch Republic and Russia. Four terrain types can also now be selected for skirmishes: agricultural, hilly, mountainous, or wooded. Matrix and Slitherine are currently offering the PC version at 50% off for a limited-time launch promo as well as a free Steam key to players who bought a copy of the PC version from Matrix Games or Slitherine’s store.

Ms. Pac-Man Pink Ribbon Campaign kicks off for Android, iOS devices

Ms. Pac-Man is joining the fight against breast cancer with a new campaign. Bandai Namco has teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to launch the Ms. Pac-Man Pink Ribbon Campaign. From now until October 31, a variety of mobile versions of Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man, listed below, will feature an option to buy a new maze for $0.99, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The games’ art and interface will also sport a new ‘pink ribbon’ theme for all of October.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen out for Android, iOS

Dragon Quest has once again found its way onto the mobile market with the release of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. Available for Android devices, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, DQIV marks the beginning of the Zenithian Trilogy and features a novel progression design that has gamers play as each companion shortly before and up to when they meet up with the Hero, who then takes the lead in the final chapter. The mobile version allows for camera rotation via screen sliding as well as adds Party Talk, which allows players to talk with others during the journey, and an extra chapter.

Resident Evil invades mobile CCG-RPG Deadman’s Cross

Square Enix and Capcom are teaming up for a collaborative special for Deadman’s Cross. The zombie-themed CCG RPG recently passed three million downloads for Android and iOS, and now, players will be able to battle some of the monsters from Resident Evil. Raccoon City has been added as a limited hunting area that includes exclusive cards, and is accessible by completing collaboration quests that begin today and run through July 27.
