Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach, Go revealed with screens, trailers

The Deus Ex Universe is expanding by two new titles, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach and Deus Ex Go. Breach is a new mode that will be in Mankind Divided that will offer an arcade-style mini-game where players take on the role of a Ripper. As a digital thief, players must break into servers to steal classified corporate info to sell for cash and experience. It will also be a live mode with new challenges and features being added after release. Deus Ex Go is a turn-based puzzle game for phones and tablets that centers on infiltration. As Adam Jensen, players will hack, fight, and use augments to solve puzzles of the Go series to learn more about a terrorist plot. Trailers and screens for both have been posted below, along with some new shots from the recently streamed Mankind Divided demo.

Romancing SaGa 2 debuts stateside for Android, iOS devices

Square Enix has brought Romancing SaGa 2 to North America for the first time. Originally released for the Super Famicom in 1993, mobile gamers will be able to play the first official localization on Android and iOS devices. The portable version has been updated with touch controls, improved graphics, the ability to auto-save, new classes (diviner and ninja), and a New Game+ mode. The multi-generational title follows the rulers of the Vareness Empire as they attempt to end a long-running war against the Seven Heroes. The storyline adds an imperial succession system, which ties together the freeform scenarios that were introduced in the original.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius coming stateside for Android, iOS devices

Square Enix is porting over their mobile Final Fantasy title Brave Exvius to North America. The Android, iOS title has currently logged over six million players overseas, and this summer, the free role-playing game (supported by in-app purchases) will make its way stateside. Players will follow two knights from Grandshelt Kingdom who are on the hunt for a prized crystal as they happen upon a mysterious young woman. The trio will explore dungeons, loot items, and battle enemies via a turn-based battle system, as well as run across some familiar faces, including as Cecil and Terra.

Two Ghostbusters games announced for PC, console, and mobile

Activision has announced that they are teaming up with Sony Pictures to release two new games based on the upcoming Ghostbusters film. Both will take place after the events of the film. Ghostbusters is a PC and console title that focuses on a team of rookies who are called on to save the city after ghosts turn up while the main crew tours the country. It’s a third-person action role-playing game, designed for single player or four-player local co-op, with players leveling up their four-character squad’s abilities and gear. This version is slated to be released on July 12, a few days before the film hits theaters on July 15. The other game is a mobile title also set to launch in July, Ghostbusters: Slime City. It will feature asynchronous co-op, leaderboard support, and the ability to craft proton packs as players take on waves of enemies.

Zen Studios takes on the Xenomorph threat in Aliens vs. Pinball

The Avengers, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, and now Aliens. Zen Studios will be tackling the iconic sci-fi franchise on April 26 with the release of Aliens vs. Pinball. The three-table set will have one based on the 1986 sequel Aliens with Ellen Ripley, another based on Alien: Isolation that centers on Amanda Ripley on the Sevastopol Space Station, and the last on Alien vs. Predator, where players take on the role of a young Yautja warrior. Leaderboards and other social features will be supported across all tables.

Fallout Shelter to get new pets, rooms, crafting, and more soon

Bethesda has announced that a new update is planned to launch later this week for Fallout Shelter. The 1.4 update will introduce crafting, new rooms in which to craft armor and weapons, lunchboxes with outfits and weapons from Fallout 4, the Barbershop to deck out the Dwellers in the new gear, a day-night cycle, and pets, including the addition of parrots. Holiday Skins Pack brings the jolly to Minecraft Windows 10, Pocket

Mojang and Microsoft are kicking off the holidays with the Holiday Skins Pack for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta and Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Skins include Father Christmas, Santa Claus, a Red Nose, and more. Check out the full list below. The pack is $1.99, while two skins, Jumper and Warm Wooly, are free. Teams from both studios will also be getting in the spirit this Friday when they host a livestream, starting at noon, at Mojang’s official Youtube channel.

Guitar Hero Live launches for iOS devices and console

Guitar Hero returns from its five-year hiatus today with Guitar Hero Live. Developed by FreeStyleGames, the studio behind the DJ Hero series, Guitar Hero Live features a host of new modes and options. The most immediate difference from its predecessors is found in the guitar controller, which has been updated to support six buttons in two three-button rows. On the software side, GH Live has been added, offering a first-person view in front of a real crowd that reacts based on player performance, and GHTV, described as “the world’s first playable music video network.” GHTV plays 24 hours a day and will be updated weekly with new songs, allowing players the chance to play along with whatever they see or request via on demand. The channel will also offer Premium Shows for premium playable content, such as live concert footage and new music videos.

b2g Studio launches Kickstarter for Unlight Lost Plot visual novel

b2g Studio has launched a KickStarter campaign to release a new visual novel for Android and iOS, Unlight Lost Plot. b2g will be working with Unlight’s developer Techway to enlist the current fan base of the Facebook card-battle game to create a novel based on some of the characters. The current goal is $20,000, with rewards including a download of the game, dog tags, and a soundtrack CD. Additional characters will be added if stretch goals are reached.

Fallout Shelter updated with new mode, features for Android, iOS

An update has gone live for both the Android and iOS versions of Fallout Shelter. The patch adds several new features, including the ability to save a game to the cloud, scavenge equipment from dead Raiders, skip the tutorial, access a statistics page in the Survival Guide, and identify a stranger for extra caps. Survival Mode was also added for overseers seeking a greater challenge. iOS users receive some bonus goodies as well: Piper from Fallout 4 and five free lunchboxes.
