Fairy Fencer F hitting Steam for Windows PC next Tuesday

The PlayStation 3 role-playing game Fairy Fencer F is making its way to PC next week. Scheduled to launch on August 4 via Steam, the PC version will feature a resolution bump up to 1080p and two free DLC packs, Beginner’s Pack and Secrets of Shukesoo’s Tower Pack. The story remains the same, however, as players take charge of Fang, a young man who saves the Fencer Tiara and ends up getting dragged into an ongoing war between the Goddess and the Vile God. Omega Quintet’s combat highlighted in new screenshots

Idea Factory has released a new batch of screenshots from Omega Quintet. The new screens showcase two key mechanics of combat, the Voltage meter and the associated Live Concert Mode. Voltage level determines the music that plays during Live Concert Mode, which engages buffs or debuffs, and when the crowds grow, the group will keep the music going. The shots also give a quick look at the combat bonuses that can be earned by breaking an enemy’s magnetic field and achieving an Overkill.

Omega Quintet translated screens, opening cinematic released

Idea Factory has released the first set of translated screenshots as well as the opening cinematic from Omega Quintet. The upcoming hybrid role-playing game and idol simulator follows a group of five singing idols, the Verse Maidens. The heroines, along with their manager, must use sound to fight an evil that has started to spread across the land. For those wanting to hear the idols’ original vocals, players will also be able to go through the game using the Japanese voice track.

Hyperdimension Neptunia will be returning this August with Re;Birth1 for PS Vita. Idea Factory International has announced that they will be launching the game, a remake of the original Hyperdimension Neptunia, on August 26 online and in stores. The new version will feature all of the content of the PS3 original as well as improved visuals, updated event conversations, a new scenario, a new ending, more customization options through the Remake System, item crafting, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory’s battle system. All of the PS3 release’s downloadable content is also being added.

Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi Limited Edition delayed til 5/20

Word from Aksys HQ today about a delay. In an email, the studio stated that they found that one of the components within the limited edition of their upcoming choose-your-own-adventure-style romance sim Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi was not up to their standards. In order to correct the problem, the release has been delayed until May 20. The standard edition and PSN release are still on track, and both will be available on May 6.

NIS is preparing their latest in the Hyperdimension Neptunia, Producing Perfection, for release later this summer. Unlike the previous Neptunia titles, gamers now must guide the CPUs through the perilous journey of becoming idols. Beginning on June 3, instead of forming a party to battle the forces of evil, players will take on the duties of a manager and producer for Blanc, Neptune, Noire, or Vert. The CPUs will need to be trained to dance, sing, and promote themselves, eventually joining one another on stage in duets or as a new band. Players will need to navigate their way around event scenes, daily activities, schedules, and more to see their chosen CPU best the current favorite, MOB-48.
