Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Grand Theft Auto Online
Rockstar is promoting the upcoming release of their Capture Creator tool for Grand Theft Auto Online with a GTA$ and RP boost. The kit will be available on April 11 and allow players to create jobs across Content, GTA, Hold, and Raid, which they can publish for others to play as well as rate and share at the Rockstar Games Social Club. From now until Friday, players who take part in any of the Capture Jobs will receive twice the amount GTA$ and RP, and to get everyone started, the studio has highlighted six jobs that players should check out.
Rockstar has detailed their future plans for Grand Theft Auto Online. Several updates are in the works, with the first due to launch next week. The first download will include Capture Creator for customizing Capture Jobs to record more movie-like scenarios, some of which will receive a stamp as Rockstar Verified. Other additions will include co-op Heists with other Crew members and mercenaries as well as the High Life Update. High Life will be packed with new jobs, the Bullpup Rifle, the Dinka Thrust motorcycle, Mental State player stat to show the mindset of nearby players, jobs, wardrobe items, and luxury apartments, along with the ability to own two properties at the same time.
Nothing says romance like weapons and rides. Rockstar Games is looking to turn Valentine’s Day a little redder with a free update to Grand Theft Auto V that adds Valentine’s Day-themed extras for both Online and Story Mode. The new content includes the Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun, found in Ammu-Nation online and in the character’s inventory in single player; the Albany Roosevelt, an armored limousine from the 1920s, found in any garage in Story and from the Legendary Motorsport in-game website in Online; new novelty hats, t-shirts, and masks, plus 1920s flapper dresses and a Flapper Bob hairstyle; and 10 new jobs found throughout Online, from cycling races to deathmatches.
