Good Old Games launches Summer Promo, 50% off Interplay library
Good Old Games realized that, for much of the world, summer is terrible. Heat, bugs, heat, there’s just little good about it. To keep PC gamers company in these months of heat waves and anemic release schedules, the digital distributor has launched their Summer “Staycation” Promo. From now until July 4, all titles from Interplay are on sale for 50% off. Yep, all 32 titles, which includes Battle Chess Special Edition, Castles 1 and 2 bundle, Descent 1 and 2 bundle, Descent 3 with expansion bundle, Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 bundle, three Fallout title (1, 2, and Tactics), Freespace 2, both MDKs, and on and on, each for $2.99.

CDP Summer Days event announced, GOG, RED, and The Witcher 2 news incoming
The CD Projekt machine has been busy lately, with the recent launch of CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 2 and the continued growth of Good Old Games. The company has announced that both divisions will reveal some “big news” live from Los Angeles at their CDP Summer Days event. The Witcher 2′s current status will be discussed, as well as RED’s plans going forward, as well as new information on the studio’s next title. Good Old Games, the DRM-free digital delivery platform focusing on older PC titles, will be revealing which of the five biggies currently not signed on with the service—Microsoft, Lucas Arts, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, and Take2—has got on board, and how many of this summer’s upcoming 25+ titles will be from their catalog.

Good Old Games – spring update brings new downloader, private messaging, free game
Good Old Games is preparing its site for a new spring update that will add a host of tweaks and features, with the two biggest being a new downloader application and support for personal messages. To kick things off, GOG and Atari are offering a free game, Microprose’s point-and-click adventure title Dragonsphere.

Good Old Games adds The Last Express and Dark Reign + Expansion

Good Old Games has added two new releases to their library this week: The Last Express and Dark Reign + Expansion. Adventure fans can grab Jordan Mechner’s cult classic for $5.99, which follows the exploits of Robert Cath as he investigates the death of his friend during their trip on the Orient Express from Paris to Constantinople.
