Aliens: Colonial Marines now available for 360, PC, and PS3

The xenomorphified first-person shooter is considered franchise canon, which means that what happens in Colonial Marines has a direct impact on the Aliens universe, overshadowing years of graphic novels, games, and films. In addition to the campaign, multiplayer is also supported with four versus modes: Escape, Extermination, Survivor, and Team Deathmatch. Word has been pretty spotty on this one, so you might want to Redbox it first.

Aliens: Infestation announced for DS
A nice surprise out of Sega today with the announcement of an Aliens sidescroller. Can’t say I wouldn’t mind 2D-ing it up against some xenomorphs. Set to release next year for the DS, Aliens: Infestation is being developed by WayForward, with some assistance from Colonial Marines developer Gearbox Software, and will feature character design by artist Chris Bachalo (Generation X, Ultimate X-Men).
