Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Games on Demand
Xbox Live Games on Demand just got a bit shump-ier today with the launch of Akai Katana. The Rising Star Games-published, Cave-developed shooter features three modes, local co-op play, leaderboard support, and new settings. The Games on Demand version is going for a cool $24.99.
The King of Fighters XIII, which seems to have made quite a splash at the last Evo tournament, has hit the digital circuit for 360 and PS3. The fighter, released last year in retail, has launched on Live Marketplace and PS Store for $29.99—a cool ten bucks less than the physical version.
Kalypso Media has added their casual air-combat title Air Conflicts: Secret Wars to Xbox Live’s Games on Demand. The WWI- and WWII-era arcade-style shooter is available for 1600 MS Points and includes 49 missions set across seven campaigns that span both wars, covering theaters in Europe and North Africa. Mission types include patrol, hit-and-run attacks, bombing raids, and escort runs.
Games on Demand received a new entry into its catalog today by way of Kalypso. Gaming Minds Studio’s action-adventure (in spaaaaaaace) title DarkStar One – Broken Alliance is now available for download for $19.99.
Capcom has announced the launch dates of two upcoming Resident Evil HD rereleases. Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, originally released for the Dreamcast, will be available on September 27, and the series-changing Resident Evil 4 will launch on September 20. Both will be available for Live Games on Demand and PSN for 1600 MS Points/$19.99.
