Armored Core V launch date, pre-order bonus announced
Namco Bandai has announced that FromSoftware’s long-running mech series Armored Core will be returning on March 20 with Armored Core V for the 360 and PS3. The latest entry will include “massive online multiplayer battles designed around huge team-based skirmishes on a grand scale, a robust offline mode, and a completely new atmosphere.” Victory will rely on proper use of the terrain as well as the efficient use of unlocks to create the optimal loadouts.

Dark Souls ready to make you break some 360, PS3 controllers
From Software’s Dark Souls, follow-up to 2009′s Demon’s Souls, is now available for the 360 and PS3. Dark Souls dated, torment to ensue next month
Looks like you’ll want to budget for an extra controller next month: Dark Souls will be hitting store shelves on October 4 for the 360 and PS3. Dark Souls – new screenshots released
Dark Souls, the 360 and PS3 spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, is only a few months out. To make sure October 4 is seared into gamers’ brains everywhere, Namco Bandai has sent along some additional screenshots to get everyone suitably excited for From Software’s follow-up.

Dark Souls shield design contest announced
This isn’t normally something we would bring to you good people, but A.) we loved (love) Demon’s Souls and B.) the idea of user-created shield emblems in a tough-as-nails RPG is awesome. With that said, Namco Bandai is running a Facebook contest for Dark Souls, the 360 and PS3 spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, in which contestants submit shield designs from now until July 13 via Facebook.com – Dark Souls. The three winning designs will then be available as post-launch content, and their designers will receive both a copy of the limited edition version signed by game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and their name in the credits.

Dark Souls coming this fall, new screens released
Namco Bandai has announced that Dark Souls, the spiritual successor to the PS3 exclusive Demon’s Souls, is set to hit both the 360 and PS3 this October. Dark Souls will come in two flavors, a standard edition and a Collector’s Edition. The CE can be pre-ordered for $59.99 and will come with an art book, a mini strategy guide, and behind-the-scenes development footage along with the soundtrack for download within special packaging.
