Bungie is continuing their livestream run of Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves tomorrow. Starting at 1:00 p.m. (CST), Bungie community manager Deej, design leads Lars Bakken and Derek Carroll, and player tripleWreck will play Trials of Osiris, a new three-versus-three Crucible event, on the studio’s Twitch channel. The victors will be rewarded with endgame kit sporting an Osiris theme.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III screens, trailer released, launching Nov. 6

After last week’s Ember teaser, Activision has followed up with not only a new trailer but also the first screenshots as well as the official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Treyarch will be making their return to the series after three years on Friday, November 6. Announced features include support for four-player co-op in campaign, a new, separate progression system for Zombies, a new weapon customizations system, and the new Specialist system, which allows players to rank and customize up to nine characters. Exo Suits will not be making a return from Advanced Warfare, but the high-tempo approach will remain in multiplayer with “a new momentum-based, chained-movement system,” which will allow for “players to move fluidly through custom-built environments with finesse.” Also, starting today, all pre-orders will receive access to the upcoming multiplayer beta.

Rainbow Six Siege trailer highlights the British Counter Terrorist Unit

This is the first video of Inside Rainbow, a new series that highlights each unit in Rainbow Six Siege. The footage runs a little over two minutes and gives a brief history and gameplay overview of the British Counter Terrorist Unit, represented in the game by the SAS. A scenario involving a hijacked airliner shows a squad in action, utilizing some of faction’s specialties, including top-down entry, speed, and toxic gas.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III teaser Ember unveils an augmented future

Activision has released a new teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Titled Ember, the video runs a little over three minutes long and features a mixture of actual and created live-action footage that details the increased use of technology into the 2060s. Following the main Call of Duty line, high-tech weaponry and gear, now in the form of augments, will be prominent as tech-infused soldiers become more common on the battlefield.

Bungie to livestream tour of Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves

Halo 5: Guardians gets GameStop-exclusive pre-order armor set

Microsoft has teamed up with GameStop to bring exclusive armor DLC to Halo 5: Guardians. All pre-orders will receive a download code to receive the Spartan Locke multiplayer armor set. The outfit comes with Hunter-Class Armor and a Hunter-Class Helmet, each of which augments the player’s capabilities by offering additional power and enhanced “situational and threat awareness.” A new trailer gives a glimpse of the kit in action.

Star Wars Battlefront to launch for console, PC on November 17

Electronic Arts has released a new trailer announcing that Dice’s Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17. The game will feature solo, co-op (couch and online), and 40-player versus missions across Endor, Hoth, Sallust, and Tatooine. Players will be able to play as characters from the original trilogy, including Boba Fett and Darth Vader, as well as pilot speeder bikes, snow speeders, AT-ATs, Tie fighters, and the Millennium Falcon. The video runs a little over two minutes long and features a forest battle powered by the game’s engine, showcasing a handful of the different abilities, vehicles, and races.

PC gamers are finally getting their chance to explore Los Santos today with the release of Grand Theft Auto V. The PC version features support for 4k and 60 frames per second, 3D, dual- and triple-monitor setups, controllers, and has 25-plus graphical customization options. Grand Theft Auto is also live, complete with all of the previous updates as well as the new Heists and Adversary Modes. Console gamers making the switch can transfer their GTAO characters to the PC version.

Nordic Games acquires Men of Valor property from 2015 Games

Nordic Games continues their acquisition streak with the Men of Valor IP. The Vietnam War-era first-person shooter was released over a decade ago for PC and Xbox, and Nordic has purchased the rights from the game’s developer, 2015 Games.
