The Call of Duty Championship end nears, finals to stream on April 7
The Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox, kicks off today at the Hollywood Palladium Theater. The tournament, which runs through Sunday, features 32 of the top Black Ops II players in a series of head-on matches for $1 million in prizes. Shooter and eSport fans wanting to follow the action can watch a stream of the final matches at Xbox.com, the Live Dashboard, and Call of Duty’s Facebook page.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Uprising announced, detailed
Treyarch is readying the release of Uprising, the second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Set to launch on Live Marketplace on April 16, and on PSN and Steam in the near future, Uprising will include four new multiplayer maps, set in Japan (Magma), London (Encore), India (Vertigo), and Hollywood (Studio, a remake of Firing Range), and a surreal Zombies addition titled Mob of the Dead.

Forge Island launches for Halo 4, Great Anvils added to Forge mode
The recently revealed Forge Island expansion for Halo 4’s Forge mode is now available on Live. The download features three modifiable islands, known collectively as the Great Anvils, as well as new building materials for the map-creation mode. Forge Island is available through Halo 4’s in-game store or Live Marketplace, and weighs in at 150 megs.

Bungie reveals more from Destiny in GDC talk Brave New World
Video and screenshots from Bungie’s GDC talk about their upcoming shooter Destiny have been made available to the general public. The video, part of their presentation titled Brave New World, shows concept art, animations, and character models. In addition to the video, there are 10 pieces of art posted below, which feature more of the worlds, environments, and characters.

Battlefield 4 revealed, trailer and screens released
EA has officially announced Battlefield 4. The Dice-developed, Frostbite 3-powered entry is slated to launch this fall and was introduced with a 17-minute video of in-game footage. The trailer follows the player’s character, Recker, escaping from a sinking car, making his way through a desolate building, and meeting up with and commanding fellow squadmates.

Dust 514 to get planetary conquest and more this May with Uprising
Dust 514 development continues to roll along, and developer CCP Games has announced a new milestone for the massively multiplayer first-person shooter, Uprising. The hefty update coincides with the tenth anniversary of Eve Online’s launch, and brings the PC MMO and the free-to-play PS3 exclusive closer to complete integration. Not only will Uprising bring the universes closer together, but it will also improve the visuals, streamline the interface, incorporate planetary conquests, and add new battlegrounds, modes, gear, and weapons.

Sniper Elite III announced for current and next-gen consoles, PC
The Sniper Elite series will continue next year, according to developer Rebellion and publisher 505 Games. Sniper Elite 3, currently under development, will see OSS sniper Karl Fairburne doing his part in North Africa (judging by the logo). 505 Games plans on releasing the title next year for PC as well as both current and next-generation consoles.

Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall announced, Daud to be playable
Arkane Studios will be showing the other side of the coin with a new downloadable add-on for Dishonored, The Knife of Dunwall. The upcoming drop, slated to launch on April 16 for 360, PC, and PS3, will put players in the shoes of Daud, the assassin who killed the Empress and kicked off the events in Dishonored. Players will explore new areas and have access to all of his weapons, gear, and abilities, as well as the support of the mercenary band the Whalers.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger announced, teaser released
Ubisoft has announced that Call of Juarez will be returning to its traditional Western roots with its next entry, Gunslinger. The publisher also released a minute-long teaser, which showcases a variety of the locales that are in desperate need of being shot up. More info will be coming along next week when the reveal trailer launches on March 14.
