343 Industries has released Halo 5: Guardians – Anvil’s Legacy, the entry’s ninth free add-on, and Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10. Accompanying the launches are two overview trailers, one for each drop. Studio head Josh Holme also released a letter going into greater detail about how the two tie together, and what the release of Forge for PC means for the future of Halo 5. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Salvation now available for PS4

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Salvation has gone live on PSN. The final downloadable pack sees Black Ops III off with four multiplayer maps and the Origins Zombies’ finale, Revelations. The included maps are detailed below, but of note for series fans are two reimaginings: Black Ops II’s Standoff is now the Western-styled Outlaws, while World at War’s Outskirts has been reworked into a futuristic repair facility in Rupture. Revelations also wraps up the squad’s adventure as the group faces Doctor Monty in The House.

Shadow Warrior 2 up for pre-order, to launch on October 13 for PC

Shadow Warrior 2 will be lopping off limbs and blowing off heads next month for PC. Flying Wild Hog is set to deploy Lo Wang against the demon hordes just in time for Halloween, with the $39.99 special edition and $49.99 deluxe edition (art book, soundtrack, skins and weapons) hitting digital outlets on October 13. Now a mercenary, Wang will once again wield his swords, guns, and magic to rid the world of monsters, alone or with up to four players in online co-op. The sequel is described as being bigger than the 2013 original, with “an open, vertically scalable world” that hosts a procedurally generated loot system. Pax West attendees can try the game out this weekend at booth 2443. Everyone else can see it in action below by checking out the new trailer.

PC versions of Xbox One games up for pre-order at Windows Store

Microsoft has announced that the Windows Store is now offering pre-orders for PC versions of Xbox One titles. Several are planned to launch this holiday season, including Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and ReCore, all of which can be ordered today. All of the titles support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing owners to play the PC and Xbox One versions with a single purchase. Games and their add-ons can be continued between both platforms as well, with shared saves. The first game of the bunch to come out the gate is Armature Studio’s ReCore, set to launch on September 13. Full details on all titles can be found below.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift DLC to go live September 23

Eidos-Montreal has announced the first story add-on for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, System Rift. The expansion finds Adam once again teaming up with his old Sarif Industries colleague Frank Pritchard. The duo are on the hunt for more information on the Santeau Group, with their target being the Palisade Blade. Gamers heading to Pax West can learn more about the drop as well as will see Andreas Apergis, who plays Pritchard, along with Elias Toufexis and Sascha Dikiciyan on a panel this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (PST) in the Hydra Theater.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer, more debuted at CoD XP

Call of Duty XP, the celebration of all things Call of Duty, began earlier today. As part of the festivities, Activision released a multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as well as word that PS4 players who pre-order will gain to access a multiplayer beta on October 14. Also announced was that Modern Warfare Remastered will include all 16 original multiplayer maps, with the remaining six joining the initial 10 at no cost this December. Jackal Assault, the PSVR update for PS4, will go live later this year as well, also for free. A stream of the event showcasing Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer mode, Modern Warfare Remastered, new content from Black Ops III, and more can be viewed throughout the weekend on Twitch, Youtube, and CallofDuty.com.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s fourth downloadable pack, Salvation, will debut for PS4 on September 6. The Treyarch-developed drop will add four multiplayer maps and the last installment of Origins Zombies, Revelations. The maps, detailed below, include a medieval castle, an oversized picnic layout, and two reimaginings. Black Ops II’s Standoff is taking on a Western-style flair in Outlaws, and World at War’s Outskirts will be turned into a futuristic repair facility. Revelations will find the time-jumping, space-traveling heroes facing off for one last fight, this time against Doctor Monty in The House.

Halo 5: Guardians – Anvil’s Legacy DLC, Forge for PC to hit Sept. 8

Halo 5: Forge is set to launch on September 8 for Windows 10. Releasing alongside Forge will be Halo 5: Guardians’ ninth free content update, Anvil’s Legacy. Forge will allow players to create, share, and play on maps for Halo 5, which should be easier with a keyboard and mouse, and will also feature sharper visuals, including support for 4k, the ability to play and host 16-player custom matches, and a new multiplatform content browser. Anvil’s Legacy will also include a streamlined crossover content browser for Forge, plus two new maps (Arena’s Mercy, Warzone’s Temple) and several new REQs. The requisitions will add three weapons, Sound Dampener attachments, and customization options.

After being away for a few years, Adam Jensen returns today to find a world on the brink of anarchy. Following the events in Human Revolution, augmented humans turned on their non-augmented counterparts, leading to an outburst of violence that has resulted in harsh laws designed by the latter in order to control the augmented. The cause remains a mystery to the public, and Jensen is determined to find the answers, using stealth, hacking, and gunplay, before the struggle erupts into chaos. Also included is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach, a first for the series, which has players take on the role of a hacker in a puzzle-shooter hybrid.
