Rainbow Six Siege – Operation Red Crow update arriving Nov. 17

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s fourth update, Operation Red Crow, has been scheduled for November 17. As part of the Year One road map, the patch will add a free map (Skyscraper) that pits players against the Yakuza in Nagoya, Japan; new features; and for Season Pass holders, Japanese S.A.T. Operators Hibana and Echo. The Operators will be available for everyone else on November 24. The studio also announced that they will be offering a free weekend from November 11-13 for PC (Steam and Uplay) and PS4.

Dishonored 2 releasing tomorrow for pre-orders, launch trailer up

Dishonored 2 will be playable tomorrow for pre-orders, so to kick things off, Bethesda has released the official launch trailer. Everyone else will be able to snag their copy on Friday. In addition to once again taking on the role of famed assassin Corvo, players will also step into the shoes of his daughter, Emily. The duo must battle a usurper throughout the streets of Karnaca in order to restore Emily to the throne.

GTA Online update adds new Adversary Mode, Tron-style motorcycles

GTA Online has been updated to add a new Adversary Mode, Deadline, along with the futuristic Nagasaki Shotaro motorcycle. The speedy, concept-style bike is unlocked for purchase at Legendary Motorsport once players try out Deadline. The arena racer has four players team up against one another while on different colored, light-trail-emitting Shotaros, trying to outlast each other by avoiding the dangerous trails. Players who take part in the mode can earn Double GTA$ and RP through November 21. Biker Business Sales have begun to celebrate the added bikes, offering 25% off Business supplies and resupplies plus an extra 50% GTA$ and Double RP. Select weapons and tactical vehicles are also on sale.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been released for console and PC. Infinite Warfare marks the first time that the series takes the campaign into the stars with a storyline that is set throughout the solar system. As Captain Reyes, a member of Tier 1 Special Operations, players must lead one of the few remaining warships fighting for Earth against an insurgent force. That means taking part in not only ground-based operations but also dog fights in zero gravity. Players who grab the Legacy and Digital Deluxe Editions will also be able to relive old adventures with the included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The undead also return with the four-player Zombies in Spaceland, which features an amusement park setting along with a new crafting system, weapons, and eSport-integration features. Multiplayer also adds new mech suits, known as combat rigs, that are design for specific combat roles but customizable with upgrades. A crafting system has also been added to multiplayer, which uses earnable Salvage to create Prototype weapons with unique designs and Gun Perks, while Mission Teams allows players to unlock more rewards. Lastly, PS VR owners can try some immersive dogfighting with the free Jackal Assault.

Shadow Warrior 2 Special Reserve Collector’s Edition detailed for PC

Devolver Digital will be releasing a limited Special Reserve Collector’s Edition of Flying Wild Hog’s Shadow Warrior 2. The recently released first-person shooter is getting the premium treatment in a fitting way, with customized randomly generated blood splatter for each copy. Only 5,000 numbered sets will be produced, which will bundle together all three games in the series (Shadow Warrior Classic Redux, Shadow Warrior 2013, and Shadow Warrior 2), stickers, soundtracks, and a 96-page artbook. It is available at Devolver Digital’s online store for $59.99, while current owners of the standard version can upgrade to it for $9.99 and owners of the Deluxe on Steam can get it for $19.99.

THQ Nordic acquires all games, properties from NovaLogic

THQ Nordic has officially acquired every game and project owned by NovaLogic Inc. That amounts to several decades’ worth of properties, from the Delta Force series to the Armored Fist series. Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development Director of THQ Nordic, stated that the studio is eager to resurrect several of the series: “We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises, we are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP.” Other properties include Tachyon: The Fringe, the F-22 series, the Comanche series, and the F-16 series.

Titanfall 2 now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

EA has released Respawn’s latest action shooter Titanfall 2. The sequel adds a single-player campaign that sees Militia rifleman Jack Cooper linking up with a chatty Vanguard-class Titan, BT-7274. Cooper finds himself a newly christened pilot after a failed assault on the IMC planet of Typhon, leaving him and BT to finish the mission. Multiplayer returns with six new Titans, a casual and competitive in-game social hub called Networks, and daily Happy Hours that allow players to unlock items faster. On December 2, Respawn will begin their post-launch support with the release of a remastered map from Titanfall, Angel City, which will kick off a series of free downloadable packs that will add more maps, modes, and weapons.

Doom – Hell Followed DLC released for console, PC

Doom received its second premium downloadable pack today, Hell Followed. The $14.99 drop includes three multiplayer maps (Argent Breach, Molten, and Orbital), one weapon (Reaper), a piece of equipment (Threat Pulse), a player-controlled demon (Cacodemon), and several hack modules. Customization fans will also find more armor sets, patterns, colors, and taunts. To celebrate the add-on’s release, this weekend will offer double experience from 11:00 a.m. (CST) on October 28 until 11:00 a.m. (CST) on October 31.
