Forza Motorsport 7 car reveal adds 100-plus to the garage

Another week, another slate of reveals for Forza Motorsport 7’s Garage. Over 100 rides make up the complete list, while two are highlighted: the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R and the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. The full list, as well as the rides’ details, can be found below. The studio also revealed that the car viewer, Forzavista, is being expanded to allow players to view vehicles track-side prior to races.

Over 150 rides revealed in first car list for Forza Motorsport 7

Turn 10 has rolled out their first batch of car reveals for Forza Motorsport 7. This week’s list will see 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, and the 1967 Ferrari #23 Ferrari Spa 330 P4 added to the Forza Garage. But that’s just the rides that had details released; the full list is much longer. Over 700 vehicles will be in the game at launch, and 150-plus were announced. Prepare yourself for a mighty long list.

ForzaRC Season 3: The Porsche Cup Elite headed to Le Mans

Turn 10 and Microsoft have announced that the Forza Racing Championship (ForzaRC) Season 3: The Porsche Cup Elite finals are set to take place in France during the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from June 17-18. To celebrate its inclusion, the creator and organizer of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), has made a new category for esports, suitably titled the Official Endurance Esports Category. The winner of the ForzaRC finals will receive their trophy on the same podium as the Le Mans drivers. The race is open to both Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 6. Gamers can watch a livestream of the event on Twitch and Youtube.

Forza Racing Championship – Season 2 detailed, kicks off in Horizon

Turn 10 Studios has opened registration for Season 2 of the Forza Racing Championship. Racers can head to the ESL website to sign up for their spot. The upcoming series is sponsored by Michelin, Logitech G, and Playseat, with cash and prizes of over $150,000. The second season also marks the first time that two Forza games will be involved, Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 6. Players can join two different leagues, Elite Series and Recreation Series. The Elite Series will take place over three weeks beginning November 13, and award the top Forza Motorsport 6 racer $10,000 in cash. The Grand Finals will be streamed on the official Forza Twitch and Beam channels on Sunday, December 11. Beginning today, the Recreation Series begins in Forza Horizon 3 and will run for the next seven weeks, with players tackling the special ForzaRC Rivals events. Players can win exclusive cars just for participating, including the 2017 Ford GT Horizon Edition.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex now on Windows Store with wheel support

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, the first PC entry in the popular series, has left beta and is now available in full on the Windows Store. A new patch has been introduced in the process that adds support for 11 wheels, all from Logitech and Thrustmaster. The full list can be found below. Support for more is on the horizon, including the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models, with support for the latter scheduled to be introduced later this month. Also, save for the G29, H-pattern shifters are supported for all Logitech wheels. Additional manufacturers will be added to the list in the future.

Turn 10 Select Car Pack adds studio’s favorites to Forza Motorsport 6

Turn 10 has released a pack of hand-selected downloadable cars for Forza Motorsport 6. The Turn 10 Select Car Pack features seven rides for $7: the 2014 Jaguar #14 Emil Frey GT3 Jaguar XK, 2015 Mercedes-Benz #24 Tankpool24 Racing Truck, 2014 Chevrolet #4 ROAL Motorsport RML Cruze TC1 WTCC, 1980 Fiat 124 Sport Spider, 2015 McLaren 570S Coupé, 1969 Ford Brawner Hawk III, and the 1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export. The vehicles can also be purchased individually. Additionally, a content update has also gone live, re-adding three tracks into competitive play: Monza, Catalunya, and Circuit of the Americas. Several changes were made to them, such as Turn 4 in Monza having its tire wall adjusted to change the driving line and reduce corner cutting.

Online Forza 6 tournament announced, Forza Racing Championship

Later this year, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios will hold a new online tournament for Forza 6, Forza Racing Championship. The competition is set to be open to players of all skill levels, which is said to allow everyone “a chance to win, no matter how many miles they have behind the wheel.” To celebrate, codes for the 2016 #66 Ford GT Le Mans race car in Forza Motorsport 6 will be sent through Live messages to everyone who plays the game on June 18 and 19. The release notes that it will take up to seven days for some players to receive their code. Also, in honor of Le Mans, a new Le Mans-themed Rivals event is being added this week.

NASCAR Expansion now available for Forza Motorsport 6

A new NASCAR Expansion has gone live for Forza Motorsport 6. The add-on includes a World Tour career that’s estimated to last 10 hours, 24 cars from the 2016 season, and the Homestead-Miami Speedway, which is playable in all modes. There are also NASCAR-themed Rivals, Leagues, and multiplayer hoppers, plus a few new features, including rolling starts, an enhanced drafting model, and a new Quick Stop mode.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex enters open beta for Windows 10 PC

Microsoft and Turn 10 have launched the open beta for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. The beta, announced last week, is available to download for free from the Windows Store. Apex requires a DirectX 12-enabled Windows 10 PC. The beta will include “a curated tour of Forza Motorsport’s best content” and regularly updating Spotlight Series events. For those participating, Turn 10 asks that questions and issues be reported at ForzaMotorsport.net or in the dedicated Apex forums.
