A new week, a new list of rides slated to be available at launch in Forza Motorsport 6. Turn 10 has revealed another 39 additions, along with details about this week’s highlights, a Can-Am, the 1969 McLaren #4 McLaren Cars M8B, and a Formula One racer, the 1966 McLaren M2B. Turn 10 names 39 more vehicles from Forza Motorsport 6’s garage

Turn 10 has followed up last week’s 40-car reveal with a new list of 39 additions for Forza Motorsport 6. The entire list is available below, but this batch’s two standouts are the 2014 Volvo #13 Volvo Polestar Racing S60 STCC and the 1999 BMW #15 BMW Motorsport V12 LMR. Both were accompanied with extra info, detailing the speedy Polestar’s history and specs as well as those of the Le Mans winner.

Turn 10 reveals 40 of Forza Motorsport 6’s 450 rides

Turn 10 has released a new list detailing some of Forza Motorsport 6’s 450-car line-up. The initial 40-vehicle list is posted below, 10 of which are FIA Formula E cars (fully electric) that are making their series debut. FM6 will also mark the first time that the entire 2014/2015 FIA Formula E season is represented in a console racer, which differs from the rest by requiring judicious use of power, drivers to swap entire cars, and drivers to gain fans in order to earn extra power via Fan Boosts. Microsoft has announced a limited edition Xbox One bundle for Forza Motorsport 6 to celebrate the franchise’s 10-year anniversary. The system will feature a design based around the series, with “iconic sports car styling and custom automotive sound effects,” along with a matching wireless controller, complete with rubberized diamond grips, a 1 TB hard drive, and a copy of Forza Motorsport 6. The bundle will hit store shelves and online outlets on September 15 for $399.99.

E3 2015: Microsoft – Backwards compatibility, HoloLens, Gears 4

Microsoft had a lot to show this year, including an on-stage demonstration of HoloLens, details about the upcoming elite controller, gameplay footage from Gears of War 4, and the debut of the Steam Early Access-like program Xbox Game Preview. There was also the biggest surprise of the event, the reveal that backwards compatibility is coming to the Xbox One. The latter is opening the system up to not only a massive back catalog of titles but also some nice bonuses, such as a free copy of Fallout 3 with Fallout 4 and free copies of Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 with Rainbow Six Siege.

Forza Motorsport 6 announced at NAIAS 2014

Microsoft used this year’s North American International Auto Show to reveal that Turn 10 Studios is working on Forza Motorsport 6. A partnership with Ford was also announced, which will see Ford’s new performance line added to the series as well as its Ford GT supercar as the centerpiece of the cover art. The other vehicles in the line will be making their gaming debut in Forza 6, including the Shelby GT350 Mustang and F-150 Raptor.

Forza Motorsport 5 getting two more DLC packs in June and July

A new letter from Turn 10 Studios’ community manager, Brian Ekberg, has revealed that the developer plans on adding two more monthly car packs to the Car Pass. The additions will bring the total packs for the pass up to eight and are scheduled for release in June and July. The June pack will go live next Friday, May 30. Just what will be included in the download isn’t known and will only be detailed at launch. The full letter can be found below.

Turn 10 Studios addresses player complaints regarding Forza 5

Forza developer Turn 10 Studios has responded to some of the complaints regarding the price of cars and tokens, including the inability of Limited Edition owners to purchase any vehicle in the game, which was supposed to be part of the package, and the low credit payouts. Community manager Brian Ekberg has announced the studio’s plans to address the issues, such as offering a 50 percent credit and token discount, free cars, and additional compensation for those affected. Forza Motorsport 5 to get six DLC packs, LaFerrari Car Pack detailed

Microsoft has announced the post-launch support Turn 10 has in store for Forza Motorsport 5. A total of six 10-car packs are scheduled for release, with the first pack launching on November 22, and the rest following on a monthly basic from January through May. The first out the gate, the LaFerrari Car Pack, will launch alongside the Xbox One and include the rare titular hypercar. More info on the remaining cars in the inaugural pack will be revealed on November 18.
