Forza Motorsport 6 demo released, Fast & Furious pack detailed

Forza Motorsport 6 is a few weeks away, and Turn 10 is building up to the release with a new trailer, a newly launched demo, and details about the upcoming Fast & Furious car pack. Beginning today, players can download the demo from Xbox Live, which will offer a selection of the final versions 460 cars and 26 tracks along with a sampling of night races, Rival events, and refined Drivatar opponents. The demo also adds a free ride to the game’s garage, the Ford GT, as well as allows access to the Forza Fuel Challenge. The fastest drivers from the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K. will win an all-expense paid trip to the Circuit of Americas in Texas for the final Forza challenge. Lastly, the 10-vehicle list of the Fast & Furious Car Pack, free to Ultimate Edition and Deluxe Edition owners, was released and is available below.

Forza Motorsport 6 goes gold, new screens, final car list released

Turn 10 has announced that Forza Motorsport 6 has gone gold. The game is set to go live in two weeks for Ultimate Edition owners, and five days later for everyone else. An official demo is slated to hit Live even earlier, on September 1. Gamers who do grab the demo will find a free ride in their digital garage, the new Ford GT. The remaining 460 release cars were revealed today along with a few new screenshots, posted below, while the full list can be found here.

Today’s highlights are the 1969 Nissan #21 Nissan Racing R382, a Japanese Grand Prix winner, and the 1993 Peugeot #3 Peugeot Talbot Sport 905 EVO 1C. With Forza Motorsport 6’s release dating nearing, September 10 for the Ultimate Edition and September 15 for the regular version, Turn 10 has released the full list of Achievements alongside their weekly list of car reveals. Because we love lists, all 57 Achievements and 30-plus rides are posted below. Some of the highlights from the garage additions include the 2014 BAC Mono, 2015 Ford #17 Xbox Racing Ford Falcon FG X, 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona HEMI, and 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, all of which are detailed with background and performance info.

A new week, a new list of rides slated to be available at launch in Forza Motorsport 6. Turn 10 has revealed another 39 additions, along with details about this week’s highlights, a Can-Am, the 1969 McLaren #4 McLaren Cars M8B, and a Formula One racer, the 1966 McLaren M2B. Turn 10 names 39 more vehicles from Forza Motorsport 6’s garage

Turn 10 has followed up last week’s 40-car reveal with a new list of 39 additions for Forza Motorsport 6. The entire list is available below, but this batch’s two standouts are the 2014 Volvo #13 Volvo Polestar Racing S60 STCC and the 1999 BMW #15 BMW Motorsport V12 LMR. Both were accompanied with extra info, detailing the speedy Polestar’s history and specs as well as those of the Le Mans winner.

Turn 10 reveals 40 of Forza Motorsport 6’s 450 rides

Turn 10 has released a new list detailing some of Forza Motorsport 6’s 450-car line-up. The initial 40-vehicle list is posted below, 10 of which are FIA Formula E cars (fully electric) that are making their series debut. FM6 will also mark the first time that the entire 2014/2015 FIA Formula E season is represented in a console racer, which differs from the rest by requiring judicious use of power, drivers to swap entire cars, and drivers to gain fans in order to earn extra power via Fan Boosts. Additional info on the Formula E cars and their drivers, as well as latest announced rides, is available below. The full list, with all pre-order and retail-exclusive cars, can be found here. Microsoft has announced a limited edition Xbox One bundle for Forza Motorsport 6 to celebrate the franchise’s 10-year anniversary. The system will feature a design based around the series, with “iconic sports car styling and custom automotive sound effects,” along with a matching wireless controller, complete with rubberized diamond grips, a 1 TB hard drive, and a copy of Forza Motorsport 6. The bundle will hit store shelves and online outlets on September 15 for $399.99.

E3 2015: Microsoft – Backwards compatibility, HoloLens, Gears 4

Microsoft had a lot to show this year, including an on-stage demonstration of HoloLens, details about the upcoming elite controller, gameplay footage from Gears of War 4, and the debut of the Steam Early Access-like program Xbox Game Preview. There was also the biggest surprise of the event, the reveal that backwards compatibility is coming to the Xbox One. The latter is opening the system up to not only a massive back catalog of titles but also some nice bonuses, such as a free copy of Fallout 3 with Fallout 4 and free copies of Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 with Rainbow Six Siege.
