Ace Combat Assault Horizon takes off for 360, PS3
Namco Bandai’s long-running combat flight sim series returns today with Ace Combat Assault Horizon for the 360 and PS3. The Project Aces-developed entry adds a new damage model, for better debris and particle detail, attack helicopters, urban battlegrounds, a close-range assault system, super-sonic jets, door gunners, and a new online multiplayer mode, Capital Conquest. The story, penned by Threat Level Black author Jim DeFelice, puts players in the role of a pilot assigned to an international task force that will find itself taking on missions across the globe. Launch copies will allow access to three free multiplayer skills, and all copies will allow access to the Facebook Skin Design Contest winning entry, Death Rider by Chi-Chun Liu, as a playable skin for the F15-C fighter.

Ace Combat Assault Horizon – multiplayer details, screens released
Ace Combat Assault Horizon is closing in on its October 11 release date, so to get everyone primed for its release, Namco Bandai has announce additional details about the multiplayer component. (Tricky devils!) The four mode are: Co-op, Capital Conquest, Deathmatch, and Domination. To help keep players abreast about their performance, a website will be set up that will keep track of rankings and offer ways for the community to keep in touch with one another as well as Project Aces team members. Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy dated, screens released
Ace Combat is hitting the third dimension this November with Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy for the 3DS. Legacy will feature touch screen targeting and, per publisher Namco Bandai, “exciting dogfights and high-altitude acrobatics, all in 3D for the first-time in the history of the legendary aerial combat franchise.”

Ace Combat Assault Horizon demo launches on Live, PSN
A new single-player demo has launched for Project Aces’ latest Ace Combat, Assault Horizon, on Live Marketplace and PS Network. The demo includes two missions, one in Miami and another in East Africa, with the chance to pilot a jet fighter and, for the first time in the series, a helicopter. The Miami mission introduces Assault Horizon’s hero, Bishop, while players will get to meet the new protagonist, Markov, in East Africa as they support Delta Force operatives.
