The console version of Mordheim: City of the Damned has launched for PS4 and Xbox One. The digital adaptation of Game Workshop’s boardgame is a tactical-level strategy game that has players fighting for Wyrdstone gems. As the leader of one of four factional Warbands (the Sisters of Sigmar, the Human Mercenaries, the Cult of the Possessed, and the Skaven of Clan Eshin), the player must constantly risk their soldiers’ future in battles that can leave them permanently disabled or even dead. Dead-dead, too—no coming back. Fortunately, careful commanders can also customize their units to maximize their chances of survival.
Mordheim: City of the Damned’s gameplay is highlighted in a new trailer. The tactical strategy game has players fighting for precious Wyrdstone gems. As noted during the console footage, the player’s Warband is constantly at risk during battle, with permanent death and debilitating injuries possible in every encounter. Squads can be called up from one of four factions—the Sisters of Sigmar, the Human Mercenaries, the Cult of the Possessed, and the Skaven of Clan Eshin—while the combat system is augmented by light role-playing elements and unit customization.
Capcom has announced that they will be releasing a new demo for their fantastic action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma next week. The demo, exclusive to PS3, will allow players to utilize the character-customization system to create their own hero, and then take them character through the game’s Prologue, which ends with a battle against a nasty Hydra. Characters created for the demo will also be importable to the full version.
Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s open-world action-RPG, is now available for 360 and PS3. As the Arisen, players are chosen to leave their humble hamlet and set out on a quest to defeat a mighty dragon. With their computer-controlled pawns in tow, players embark on an adventure throughout a high-fantasy world that features open environments and “exhilarating skill-based action combat” to fulfill their role as a peasant turned warrior.
Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s upcoming open-world action-RPG, is including a unique boss battle that will take into account players’ attacks without featuring all of the players. Beneath Gran Soren lies the Everfall, and from within a dragon known as Ur-Dragon will spawn and challenge players during their campaign. But players, and their computer-controlled allies known as pawns, will not be facing it alone, as others will also be battling the beast in a lengthy asynchronous encounter within their own campaign.
Detailed back in February, Capcom has announced that the demo for Dragon’s Dogma, their upcoming open-world action-RPG, will be available on Live and PSN on April 24. The demo will include a party of three Pawns tackling two encounters, each of which will serve to highlight the skills of a particular character class.
Capcom has announced that a playable demo of their upcoming open-world action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma will be available on Live Marketplace and PSN before the game’s May 22 release. The demo will include a party of three Pawns tackling two encounters, each of which will serve to highlight a different character class.
Dragon’s Dogma, the upcoming open-world adventure from Capcom, isn’t due out until next year (360, PS3), but it’s never too early for a package shot and some screens—and there’s never a bad time to see a hydra battle.
