Activision is kicking off the celebration for Bonds’ 50th anniversary today with the launch of Eurocom’s 007 Legends for 360 and PS3. The shooter includes an overarching storyline that connects select encounters from five different Bond films (Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, and Die Another Day), along with a post-launch DLC mission based on the upcoming movie Skyfall, set to launch on November 9 on PSN and on November 20 on Live.
Activision’s upcoming Bondfest, 007 Legends, will feature several of the films’ actors to go along with the film-themed storyline. Daniel Craig, Michael Lonsdale, Naomie Harris, and Richard Kiel are slated to reprise their roles in-game. Returning characters include Bill Tanner, Hugo Drax, and the infamous Jaws. More actors are said to be taking part, with the rest of the cast expected to be announced in the coming months.
The second of six film-themed missions from Eurocom’s upcoming 007 Legends was revealed earlier today to be based on On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The other movie to be featured is the upcoming Skyfall, with the announced two being linked together with the remaining four to form an overarching storyline spanning decades of Bond adventures.
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, the latter remake of GoldenEye featuring Daniel Craig, is now available for download off the PS Store for $59.99. Reloaded is an enhanced re-release of the 2010 Wii reimagining, complete with new Mi6 Ops Missions, new maps and weapons for the 16-player online and four-player offline multiplayer mode, and Move support.
Activision is set to celebrate James Bond’s quinquagenary in style with Eurocom’s 007 Legends. Legends will cover the franchise’s fifty years by putting players in the “most iconic and intense undercover missions” from six of the films, including the upcoming Skyfall. A central storyline will tie everything together, and single-player Mi6 Ops Missions will supplement the main campaign. Similar to those in GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, the missions will center around action or stealth and results posted on leaderboards. A new twist this time around is that the villains will also be playable.
GoldenEye 007 is making its way to the 360 and PS3 this fall as GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a revamped version of the Wii rerelease. Developer Eurocom returns to the series with a new engine, allowing for HD visuals and 60 frames per second, and Move functionality. The game will also include new Mi6 Ops Missions, where players must tackle Assault, Elimination, Stealth, and Defense objectives in new levels. Multiplayer also returns with new weapons, maps, characters, and modes, as well as support for four-player split-screen and 16-player online.
