Amplitude will be bringing their latest 4X strategy titles, Endless Space 2, to Steam Early Access next month. The studio also revealed a new faction trailer with the Lumeris being the latest to join the galactic roster. The Lumeris are an amphibious people that have, as with some lovable big-earned aliens from another franchise, developed a society that focuses on trade and acquisition. A handful of families manage the various elements of their economy, with a balance kept to ensure that no single family gains too much power. The Lumeris are one of eight planned factions, four of which will be available in the Early Access version.
Iceberg Interactive has announced the first for-pay downloadable pack for Free Space, Disharmony. The $9.99 drop, scheduled to launch on Steam this summer, will introduce a new faction known as The Harmony, as well as new craft (fighters and bombers), new battle formations, a new targeting system, a redesigned weapon system, four new heroes, improved AI, and more. Amplitude Studios’ Endless Space is nearing the end of its beta run and gearing up for full launch. Publisher Iceberg Interactive has sent word that the final version will go live on July 4 on Steam and other download outlets for $29.99.
Paris-based developer Amplitude Studios has announced a new 4X strategy title, Endless Space. The download-only release will be available for Mac and Windows PC, and its development will be chronicled for interested gamers to follow through the Games2gether program. At the official site, EndlessSpace.com, gamers can participate directly in the creation process by trying out early versions of the game and offering their feedback.
