The next update to Edge of Space will add multiplayer, according to developer Handyman Studios. Players will be able to link up and battle, gather resources, share gear, and alter bases together when patch goes live later this week. A training mode will also be added, which will explain the basics of both new and old mechanics, as well as dynamic events in the form of base invasions and boss battles. New screens were released showing some of the upcoming additions.
A new trailer has launchd for HandyMan Studios’s upcoming survival-exploration platformer Edge of Space. The latest footage features the ArkCo Operatives, employees of one of the game’s four main tech conglomerates, ArkCo. Trained for deep space exploration, the operatives are skilled in mining, combat, and surviving in harsh environments.
Reverb Publishing has launched a new feature trailer for HandyMan Studios’s Edge of Space. The footage shows a little of everything: some combat, platforming, crafting, monsters, and mechs. The upcoming space-based sandbox title tasks players with using or battling each of the above to terraform a distant planet alongside other players.
HandyMan Studios has revealed more of their progress on Edge of Space, their upcoming space-based sandbox survival-adventure. The latest batch of media includes some new screenshots as well as the final box art. Edge of Space is currently in beta but available for pre-order, with early adopters receiving access to the beta and a discount, from $14.99 to $9.99, at Desura and Digital Rain Games.
Catching up on a little bit of everything on the Edge of Space front today. In addition to new screens, the studio has released info on what players dabbling in the beta have gained access to during January. Aside from a graphical overhaul, storage chests can now be created to safely store items that don’t need to be carried around. New weapons have also been added, including rocket launches, rifles, carbines, and machine guns. And for those who want a little company, or help with collecting items, the first handful of holopet familiars are now available to collect.
