E3 2017: Atlus/Sega – Yakuza, Etrian Odyssey, Shin Megami, more

Atlus and Sega have compiled a handy list of their upcoming titles, complete with trailers and descriptions. All of these have been previously announced, with the latest being Atlus’ big three: Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. E3 2017 – Capcom: Monster Hunter, Marvel vs. Capcom

Capcom spent their time at E3 revealing the latest Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter: World, and surprising players with a story demo for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Set to launch early 2018 for console, Monster Hunter will mark the first time the series appears on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Additionally, PS4 players will also get extra content. And for fighting fans, the Marvel vs. Capcom demo is out now for console. New media was released for both titles.

E3 2017: Bandai Namco – Dragon Ball, Ni no Kuni, Ace Combat

This year’s E3 saw Bandai Namco bring along some of their biggest upcoming releases as well as a surprise from Arc System Works. Pillar franchise Ace Combat got a new trailer and screenshots for its seventh entry, while recent hit Ni no Kuni’s upcoming sequel, Revenant Kingdom, was officially dated for November 10. The studio also revealed a recent project with Arc System Works that sees them entering the brawler market, Dragon Ball FighterZ. The Marvel vs. Capcom-style fighter is set to launch early next year and looks to be shaping up nicely. Recent reveal Code Vein was also own shown, also receiving a new trailer for the show.

E3 2017: Activision – Destiny 2 pushed up, Crash, Call of Duty: WWII

Activision hit E3 with a focus on three series: Call of Duty, Crash, and Destiny. The studio released new trailers for Call of Duty: WWII, highlighting multiplayer gameplay, and some more in-game footage from Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Most of the news surrounded Destiny 2, which has a new, earlier release date for consoles: September 6. PC gamers will be able to grab it off Battle.Net on October 24. A new cinematic story trailer was also revealed, “Our Darkest Hour,” featuring the latest baddie Dominus Ghaul.

E3 2017 – Bethesda: Wolfenstein II, Dishonored, Skyrim NS, VR

Bethesda had a strong showing with support for a number of their popular franchises. They also revealed an initiative that encompasses several of them, Creation Club. The system is for Fallout 4 and Skyrim and is set to offer curated, free mods for players and cash for creators. Other reveals include Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Doom VFR, Skyrim for Switch, The Evil Within 2, and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Check below for release dates, screens, and trailers.

New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer released for E3

Activision has released the gameplay footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that was debuted during Sony’s conference. In the video, protagonist Reyes and his squad break into and destroy an enemy SetDef destroyer. Setting out from the UNSA Retribution, team SCAR gets into a series of dogfights while piloting Jackals before closing in to breach the hull amidst small arms fire.

Nier: Automata to launch in early 2017, gets new E3 trailer

During E3, Square Enix released a new trailer for Nier: Automata alongside news that it will be launching in early 2017. Currently in co-development with Platinum Games, Automata will take place in the far future after alien ‘machine lifeforms’ have overrun the world, forcing mankind to escape to the moon. Players will follow the androids 2B, 9S, and A2 in their quest to destroy the machines. 2B is the main character, a sword-wielding battle droid built for the infantry squad YoRHa that is backed by a Pod support system for long-range combat. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice screenshots released

Capcom has debuted Phoenix Wright’s latest case, Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, at E3 in a new playable demo. Attendees can try the game for themselves at Capcom’s booth (South Hall, #2023). For everyone else, a new batch of screenshots has been released from the trial of the, er, trial. Capcom-Unity will be livestreaming the game today at 4:00 p.m. (CST) and tomorrow at 1 p.m. (CST) with members of the development team at their Twitch channel.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game announced for console, PC

CD Projekt Red knows a good thing when they have one, and that’s why they are currently working on a standalone version of Gwent. The card game found popularity within the taverns of The Witcher 3, and now console and PC gamers are getting Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Players can currently register for a beta set to go live this September. The standalone version will feature five factions (Nilfgaardian Empire, Skellige, Monsters, Northern Realms, and Scoia’tael), card crafting and collecting, friendly matches, ranked matches, and a story campaign.
