To the drop pods! CCP Games’ MMOFPS Dust 514 deploys for PS3
After months of stress testing, CCP Games’ free-to-play MMOFPS Dust 154 has transitioned from open beta to final release. The PS3 exclusive links ground-based warfare with the space-based combat of its PC MMORPG counterpart Eve Online to form a fully integrated multi-system universe known as New Eden. CCP plans to release its first update in June, followed by several “major releases” throughout the rest of the year.

Prepare the drop pods! Dust 514 launching next month for PS3
?CCP Games’ upcoming massively multiplayer shooter Dust 514 is nearing completion and will be going live on May 14. The developer announced that the free-to-play PS3 exclusive will be fully integrated with New Eden, the universe of Eve Online, when it launches on PSN. As console gamers pound the ground to complete objectives and whittle away their rivals’ numbers, Eve Online players will be orbiting above, dealing with the consequences of each battle in the shared persistent universe. PC gamers will be able to lend their support in the form of helping with coordination and bombarding targets.

Dust 514 to get planetary conquest and more this May with Uprising
Dust 514 development continues to roll along, and developer CCP Games has announced a new milestone for the massively multiplayer first-person shooter, Uprising. The hefty update coincides with the tenth anniversary of Eve Online’s launch, and brings the PC MMO and the free-to-play PS3 exclusive closer to complete integration. Not only will Uprising bring the universes closer together, but it will also improve the visuals, streamline the interface, incorporate planetary conquests, and add new battlegrounds, modes, gear, and weapons.

CCP Games’ MMOFPS Dust 514 enters open beta for PS3
CCP Games’ PS3-exclusive massively multiplayer shooter Dust 514 has entered open beta. A recent update has merged the universes of Dust 514 and Eve Online so that players from each will experience the games as a whole, with PC players battling in orbit around the planets that PS3 gamers are fighting to control. As an example of the faction dynamics and interplay involved, the header imagine and initial screenshots show an orbital strike called in from a Dust 514 player and the resulting bombardment courtesy of an Eve Online player.

Dust 514 to enter open beta on January 22
The worlds of Eve Online and free-to-play shooter Dust 514 will be getting closer to full integration next week when Dust moves into open beta on January 22. The first step was accomplished on January 10 when developer CCP Games merged the two on the Eve server Tranquility, and as Dust nears its launch, the game’s full suite of features will come online. Current players will also be happy to hear that they can start building up their character stats today as CCP has no subsequent character resets planned. Dust 514 gets Codex update, new screens, and Skill Point event
CCP’s massively multiplayer action title Dust 514 gets one step closer to final launch with the release of the latest update, Codex. The newest additions include Corporations, the guild-styled squad system also found in Eve Online, female avatars, new weapons, the Skill system, and more environments. Current players can get the most out of the newly implemented Skills by earning double points from now until November 8.

Sony announces two new slimmer PlayStation 3 models, bundles
The PlayStation 3 is slimming down for the winter. Sony has announced that a new slimmer PS3 will be available in either charcoal black or classic white in North America starting in September. There will be two models (a third with 12 GB of flash memory is a Europe-only release) released in new bundles: a 250GB model launching September 25 for $269 with a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition and Dust 514 pre-installed with a $30 voucher for DLC, and a 500GB model launching October 30 for $299 with a copy of Assassin’s Creed III.

Dust 514 begins integration with Eve Online, new screens released
CCP has sent along some new shotsshots from Gamescom showing off the latest beta build of Dust 514, their upcoming MMOFPS for PS3. Today is also the beginning of the planned extensive integration with CCP’s other MMO, Eve Online for PC. In addition, the update also includes “Orbital Strike framework, instant battle matchmaking, new environments, keyboard and mouse support, and tons of other enhancements.”

Dust 514 beta event announced for PlayStation Plus subscribers
PlayStation Plus subscribers eager to try out CCP Games’ upcoming MMOFPS Dust 514 will be able to jump into the fray next week. A special closed beta event for subscribers will run from August 21 to September 4, but they won’t be alone, as they will be joined by gamers who bought the game’s Mercenary Pack or the All-Access Pass. August 21 also marks the day of the Precursor release, which begins the process of integrating Dust 514 and Eve Online, adding the ability for players to call in orbital strikes, access new environments, and utilize instant battle matchmaking.
