Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Dungeons
Kalypso will be releasing their hero-slaying kingdom sim Dungeons 2 for PS4 later this year. The console debut, set to launch on April 26, will include all previously released downloadable content on the disc. Four packs in total will be included: Pixieville, Morningwood, A Chance of Dragons, A Song of Sand and Fire, and A Clash of Pumpkins. The add-ons introduce new missions, enemies, and skirmishes. To show the game in action, Kalypso will be hosting a livestream today at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on their Twitch channel.
The Dungeon Lord is getting ready to rip apart a new batch of heroes with the release of Dungeons 2. As with its predecessor, the game combines elements of a dungeon sim and a real-time strategy title, allowing players to build and administer their base while gathering resources in order to build their forces. As the demonic lord, players get to create an army of Orcs with gold gathered by Snots in order to conquer The Overworld by defeating the humans on the surface. There are two factions who have access to 26 different characters, and up to four players get to compete with one another in four different modes.
Dungeons II has gone gold for Mac, SteamOS, and Windows PC. Scheduled to launch on April 24, the sequel allows players to assist The Dungeon Lord in expanding his domain into the land of man, as he spreads his influence aboveground by attacking cities. The campaign features two factions, 26 creatures, more heroes, and versus multiplayer for up to four players online or LAN. Kalypso also revealed the minimum and recommended system specs, which are listed below.
Realmforge and Kalypso are celebrating Halloween the right way with free DLC for Dungeons – The Dark Lord. Starting today, Halloween-themed graphics will liter the dungeons while two new prestige gimmicks, a new Jack-o’-lantern spell, and an entirely new Halloween map will be added once the update is downloaded. Gamers wanting gold instead of candy loot can disable the themed goodies from the main menu.
The standalone expansion to Dungeons, Dungeons – The Dark Lord, is now available for PC. The Dark Lord will once again allow players to create dangerous dungeons filled with sweet loot to lure in brave heroes, and then trap them for their delicious souls.
Dungeons’ stand-alone expansion, The Dark Lord, is quickly nearing its September 27 release date, and to get everyone’s inner hero-crushing demons ready, Kalypso has sent along some new screens. The shots offer a peak at the stand-alone expansion’s new dungeons, including the ice crystal cave and Yeti boss, new single-player campaign, and new multiplayer-only skills.
The Dark Lord’s appetite for the souls of the virtuous could not be satiated with mere map packs and trifling DLC. No, he demands more, much more: a sequel. This September, he will get his chance to feast once more when Kalypso publishes Realmforge’s Dungeons – The Dark Lord. Sequel to Dungeons, The Dark Lord will include a new single-player campaign, a new dungeon type, 25 “prestige gimmicks,” four-player multiplayer with three modes, new skill sets for multiplayer, and the chance to play as bosses in multiplayer.
Kalypso and Realmforge Studios’ Dungeons received a new, beefy DLC pack today. For $2.99, hero hunters get 50 new maps, five wallpapers, and the new Conquest mode. Conquest pits your aged, malevolent Dungeon Lord against some youngbloods who are foolish enough to challenge the Supreme Evil One.
