Atlus has revealed the goodies that will be bundled with the first-run copies of Etrian Mystery Dungeon. As with previous launch copies, this one will come with a six-track soundtrack sampler, a 28-page art and info book, and a cardboard outer box to hold the extras alongside a copy of the game. A new trailer and screenshots were also released of the Protector, a tank class that can soak up damage behind its tower shield after provoking enemies. Atlus is also running a contest that will award random contestants who share the new video on Facebook or Twitter with the Etrian Mystery Box, a package filled with random items from around the company’s store rooms (and desks).

Etrian Mystery Dungeon gets a release date, new trailer and screens

Atlus has released a new video, screenshots, and art from their upcoming Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon hybrid roguelike, Etrian Mystery Dungeon. The latest batch of visuals focuses on the elite swordsmen of the game, the Landsknecht. The offensive-heavy fighter’s melee and area-of-effect attacks are highlighted, and players can look forward to utilizing the moves themselves when the game launches on April 7.

New gameplay trailer, box art released for Etrian Mystery Dungeon

Atlus has released a new trailer for their upcoming roguelike role-playing game Etrian Mystery Dungeon. The next hybrid release following Persona Q, EMD combines Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey with Spike Chunsoft’s Mystery Dungeon for an isometric roguelike with the former’s leveling system and the latter’s combat and randomly generated dungeons. The trailer shows off how the styles are being merged together for the new spin-off. It was also announced that first-run copies and pre-orders will come packed with a soundtrack CD. Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy coming to North America in 2015

NIS has announced that they will be localizing and publishing Experience’s dungeon crawler Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy. Scheduled to launch for PS Vita next spring, Operation Abyss is a sci-fi-themed role-playing game set in a near-future Tokyo under siege by genetically engineered monsters known as Variants. Players will take control of the Xth Squad, a group of modified teenagers who belong to the Code Physics Agency, whose job involves venturing into a dimension known as the Abyss to investigate its origins and battle monsters. The story is estimated to last over 40 hours, and teams will consist of customizable characters from 10 different classes.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker coming for 3DS

Atlus will be releasing an enhanced version of 2011’s Devil Survivor 2 for 3DS, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. The new version will feature relocalized dialog, an English voiceover track, new abilities, and a new epilogue episode that introduces the mysterious Miyako Hotsuin. The epilogue will be available to play from the start via the main menu or as part of the original story and is estimated to double the length of the original release. Atlus and Spike Chunsoft team up for Etrian Mystery Dungeon for 3DS

Etrian Odyssey is once again finding itself paired with another role-playing game, this time Spike Chunsoft’s Mystery Dungeon. Announced today for 3DS, Etrian Mystery Dungeon will feature Etrian Odyssey’s character-leveling system and the random-heavy design and third-person, fixed-perspective view of Mystery Dungeon. Players will begin their journey as a Landsknecht, but they will eventually gain access to 10 different classes. Combat will be turn based and navigation will utilize a hub system, with players returning to and stocking up in the village of Aslarga before setting out for the nearby randomly generated dungeons.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth out for 3DS, new videos released

The Persona 3 and Persona 4 crews have reunited once more before the end of the year, but instead of fighting one another, they’re teaming up for a new adventure in Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. To celebrate, Atlus has released four new videos, below, which joins a host of other previously released videos. Persona Q marks the line’s debut on a Nintendo system, and it’s also the first time that the series has entered into the Etrian Odyssey-style world of dungeon crawling. And there will be a lot of crawling around dungeons, as it’s estimated to last over 80 hours, with each team getting their own storyline filled with dialogue choices and plot reveals. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth launch trailer out, livestream set

Atlus has revealed the launch trailer for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. They’ve recently released several themed trailers, and those who might’ve missed them can check them out here: characters, mechanics and FAQ. The studio will also be livestreaming the first dungeon on their official Twitch channel and answering questions today at 8 p.m. (CST).

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth mechanic, FAQ videos released

Atlus has released a new set of videos detailing the gameplay mechanics from Persona Q. Since the game is something of an Etrian Odyssey and Persona hybrid, one video details the map-making process, another how to deal with the powerful FOEs that patrol the dungeons, and the final tutorial video covers the random-encounter meter. Atlus has released a handful of new trailers for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. First up is a new tutorial video that shows potential party combinations and the teamwork mechanics in action. In addition, a series of character-specific videos also went live, with Fuuka, Kanji, Koromaru, and Rise each getting their time in the spotlight.
