Beta patch 1.009 launches for Drox Operative
A new patch has launched for Soldak’s space-based action role-playing game Drox Operative. The beta release of patch 1.009, detailed below, fixes a handful of issues. A few of the tweaks include the Fringe now being able to reduce the power load of the player’s components, repair discounts at Dryad-controlled planets, increased Zombies spread, and component repair cost now capable of being higher than its worth.

Soldak releases beta patch 1.001 for Drox Operative
Soldak has sent word that they’ve launched beta patch 1.001 for their space-based action-RPG Drox Operative. The update includes a number of fixes and tweaks, some of the more interesting include the AI’s new ability to resell purchased items at a later date for a profit, a new indicator displaying the probability of a successful attempt at subterfuge (espionage, sabotage, etc.), and a marker for quicker identification of superior equipment. Drox Operative now available for Mac, Windows PC
Soldak Entertainment, developers of Depths of Peril and Din’s Curse, has just released their latest action-RPG, Drox Operative. As an intergalactic gun for hire, players will earn their keep by taking on jobs, alone or with friends via co-op multiplayer, in a dynamic galaxy embroiled in war. The goal isn’t to build or administer bases but to amass as much money as possible to man the deadliest ship in space. In addition to ship and crew customization, the game offers budding mercenary captains quests to undertake, monsters to hunt, and several factions to work with or against.

Drox Operative beta gets patched to ver. 0.901
Soldak has released a new beta patch (0.901) for its upcoming action-RPG Drox Operative. The changes include added quick tips, a number of typo corrections, modifications to movement and control, and corrected sound clips. The studio announced last week that gamers who pre-order will have access to the beta, so those already on the job should have a smoother go at things.

Soldak, the indie studio known for their popular action-RPGs Din’s Curse and Depths of Peril, has announced a new title: Drox Operative. Tentatively scheduled to release during the first quarter of 2012, Drox Operative is a space-faring action-RPG that will pit players against alien races in a dynamic, evolving galaxy alone as well as with friends in co-op multiplayer.
